DONNIES POV.

Soon the effects of the needle wore off and I once again gained conciseness. My eyes looked around the room like bullets. I tried to see, I focused in every possible way that I could, but still I saw nothing. My mind was sort of calm at the moment, seeing as how I still felt a bit drowsy. "...Leo.... Is it true..?" I asked while gripping the side of the bed with my hand.

LEOS POV.

I looked down at Donnie as he had said my name. With a deep sigh I finally answered his question "yes Donnie... Your blind..." I could already see the tears warming up in his eyes. He was smart. Don knew the new limitations he would have, and by the looks he didn't like it.

"No-no.. I can't be... No.. No no no..." He said. I watched him sadly as he raised one hand up to the side of his face,. He felt around the large scars that covered his eye lids and above.

I felt sorry for him, I couldn't bring it to myself to tell him about his other arm, that would just dampen his spirits even more.

Suddenly I heard a third voice. It was Mikey's, no doubt.

"Donnie?" Mikey whispered as he raised to his feet and walked over to the opposite side of our brother. I just nodded my head towards Donnie and stayed silent.

MIKEYS POV.

I looked down at Donnie sadly. I saw the tears in his eyes, I'm glad that they weren't from pain. But he was still really upset.

Just as one of his tears fell I caught it with my finger and wiped it off to the side. He had been through a lot and I knew that I needed to support him the best way that I could. The only thing that I could think of to help was to give him a hug. I met eyes with Leo, he could tell what I meant and gave me a short nod and then huffed.

With a deep breath I slowly reached down and pulled Donnie into a warm hug. I think we both needed a hug after all of this time...

DONNIES POV.

I paused as I felt someone's warm arms wrap around me. A small cough made its way out of my mouth. The pain all came back to me.. But the warmth of the hug seemed to make me forget about it all. With only one arm that seemed to work, I hugged My brother back. I could tell that it was Mikey, Leo and Raph would never hug me out of the blue like he would. And I really needed a hug too... "Mikey.." I whispered into what I sensed was his ear. His head shook softly and blinked a couple of times. "M'sorry... " I whispered again. "...I-I... Can't be.. A ninja now...."

MIKEYS POV.

Out of all of the things I thought being a ninja would be least important to Donnie. The way he said it just made my heart drop. No more going on patrols with us.. No more training.. I thought everything was returning to normal. No. It was just a new chapter.
