Meeting The Mysterious Kid

Betty Cooper was tired of being Riverdale's Perfect golden girl.  She couldn't take a lot more of it to be honest.

After her conflict with Archie at the dance she was upset. She thought they were supposed to be together. They both were so perfect for each other. Even though they were best friends he didn't feel the same way.

He told her she he wasn't good enough for her but she felt like she wasn't good enough for him.

As she fell asleep that night she wept quietly on her pillow.

The next morning,she looked at herself in the mirror and put her blonde hair down in waves instead of her famous ponytail. She left her light pink makeup the way it always was. She grabbed a set of her jeans and a classic white v neck instead of covering up.

She looked in the mirror smiling to herself as she told herself it would be a new day trying to keep a new attitude throwing her bag over her shoulder.

She opened the front door to her house an left the warm Breeze embrace her soft skin as she took the breath of fresh air stepping out and closing it behind her.

She saw Archie across the street staring at her as she felt it. Her heart broke alittle bit but she put on a brave face,smiled and waved before turning to walk away.

She walked they rest of the way to school ignoring Archie as he did try to keep calling her. She opened Riverdale Highs door and made her way inside to her locker where Kevin and Veronica were.

She smiled lightly at them when they gave each other a look.

''Betty are you?''She heard Veronica ask as she turned to her and gave he a smile.

''Im completely fine Ronnie,I promise.''Betty replied as she turned away to see the hallway get quiet.  She watched confused as what everybody was whispering about until she saw a guy with jet black hair,A beanie on his head,black skinny jeans,a coat wrapped around his waist and a leather jacket on his shoulders.

She stared at him amazed,he didn't look like someone from around these parts. He was very intriguing as she stared at him. She was in trance honestly,even though he was weird to them. He was undeniably attractive to her.

She heard a gasp as he passed everybody,she raised her eyebrows confused again as why they seem to be choking on there own spit.

She felt herself grow nervous as he came to stop in front of her. She looked at him in the face as he raised an eyebrow at her.

''Sweet Cheeks your in front of my locker,could I get by?''He asked as Betty blinked at him blushing in embarrassment after. She gently moved to the side a she watched him open her locker and put some stuff inside.

''Her name's Not Sweet Cheeks,It's Betty.''She heard a voice say as she turned to see Archie and roll her eyes.

Betty watched as he looked at her and then at Archie. Betty was frowning as Archie stood so close to her.

''I'd say your annoying her because she was honestly happy in my own company before you got here. You broke her heart or something because I know what that face looks like.''He replied holding his hand out to Betty.

Archie stood in front of her glaring at him.

''Why because you break people's hearts for a living?''Archie shot at him. He sighed before looking over Archie's shoulder before responding.

''No because they break mine''He replied staring at her passed Archie.

''I held out my hand for you to give me your Notebook Betty. The office asked me to share a locker with you if you didn't notice yet. I don't take up much space,I'm not really worth any honestly. They also asked if you could give me a tour of the school." He continued before smiling at Betty.

Betty swallowed weakly at him,he was making her legs feel like Jell-O and he didn't even do anything. She smiled at him nodding her head as he smiled back before walking away.

Her eyes widen when she saw the back of his jacket. Thats why everyone got quiet and gasped earlier.

He was a Southside serpent,they were dangerous to be aeound but she kinda didn't really care at the moment. He was new,he was bad and she still didn't catch his name.

Betty Cooper was driven with ambition to find out who this boy was and nothing was gonna stop her.

Not her Mom,not Kevin,not Veronica and especially not Archie.

This was her decision to make an she already made it.
