BAM! I felt the coldness and the toughness of the wall slam against my back. In reality it felt me get thrown into it. My parents look down at me and laugh. There were bruises practically covering my entire body, dark and very purple and very painful. I slowly begin to stand up, being stopped by a kick from my mother.
"Such a weak and disgraceful child." Both my mother and father left the room to their bedroom; I could hear them laughing and insulting me behind the closed door. After a few minutes I was able to get up. I put on fitting clothes for the current winter season and ran outside and over to my friend Amelia's house. I knocked on the door and they let me in. A bunch of questions about my new bruises flew out of her parent's mouths as I took my coat off. Amelia, and her parents looked very concerned. They knew what my parents did to me and they have tried everything they could to get me out of such a terrible, abusive, situation. My friend led me into her room and wrapped a fluffy blanket around me.
"My parents are making some hot chocolate for tonight!" She said with a bright smile, doing her best to make me smile as well. Amelia happens to be a wizard, like her parents. They all practice ice-maker magic and they're very good at it. Amelia is able to do both static and dynamic styles of ice-make.
"That sounds lovely. Your parents always make the best home made hot coco." I smile softly at her. Both of her parents practice magic on the side as a hobby. Both of them are very good crafters and can make just about anything using anything. Our friend Eric, who likes to be called Cobra, walks in and sits next to me after greeting everyone.
"What happened to you? God if I could only-" He says, clinching his fists while having an angry expression plastered on his face. Cobra also knew what was going on and always says that he wants to beat the crap out of my parents. I'd let him if it wasn't for the fact that he was a weak kid just like the rest of us.
"I'm alright... it's okay." I say, giving him a small hug to try and calm him down. After a while, Amelia's parents gave us all cups of  hot coco.
"Be careful, it's super hot!" My best friend's mother said as her husband nodded in agreement.
"Drink with Caution!" Her dad chimed in.

The next day. The day of her death. I can remember it like it was yesterday even though it has been a little over fourteen years. I haven't seen Cobra either, but I've heard he's been alright. Which means he's obviously still alive.

"(Y/n)! Heads up!" Amelia said laughing and she throw a snow ball into my face. She was using her magic to her advantage to try and win in this epic snowball showdown. I was determined to win this time.
"Take this!" I exclaim as I threw a snowball back at her, getting her shoulder.
After a while we both lay on the snowy ground giggling.
"Well that was lots of fun!" I said, sitting up and looking down at her as she makes a snow angel.
"Heck yeah it was!" Amelia said, laughing and getting up. We both looked down at her snow angel. The crackling of fire was heard and we turned around, seeing our town burning down. We both gasp and back away. Hearing the yelling of men saying something about killing the adults and taking the children and the mention of some dark lord named Zeref, we both ran into the nearby woods. And of course, luck wasn't on our side because dark shadow wolves approached us, clearly wanting to make us their next meal.
"This isn't good...." I said as my back touched my best friend's. Not only was I weak in the magic category but I didn't have much physical strength either.
"Not good at all...." Amelia said. She used her magic to defeat some of them. She was fearless, I was a coward. The big pack leader leaped onto my best friend.
"Run! Get out of here and don't look back (y/n)!" She yelled as the beast and his pals began ripping her apart. Tears filled both of our eyes.
"I can't just leave y-" I was cut off by here telling me to run for it. I ran like she told me to and I looked back, watching her die. I kept running and some of the wolves followed me for awhile until I entered a certain territory. I kept running until I found myself face to face with the black dragon of the apocalypse. Acnologia. At this point, death was not a fear of mine but I was sure this dragon would end me. I looked up at him, the light and love in my eyes were gone. I was sure Cobra didn't escape those cult people and I just lost my best friend. Death sounded like a sweet thing right about now.
"You do not run from me in fear?" The dragon said to me.
"I do not. For there is nothing in this life that I could fear. Not anymore." I replied to him. The dragon thought for a moment.
"My name is Acnologia, king of the dragons. I would like to take you in and teach you magic. But if I ever lose my grip on sanity, I advise you to get as far away from me as possible." He said as I stood up. Apparently I was on both knees, panting from the exhaustion of running so much. I look up at him and at this very moment, a new me was born. A new me that is strong, confident, and heartless.
"My name is (y/n), and I accept your offer father." Acnologia chuckled slightly and started leading me to his den. "We'll get started in the morning. I'll teach you dragon slayer magic and other types of magic."

Years went past. It was the year 777 and Acnologia was missing from the den. There was a note that said to go out and explore the unknown world and to make myself known as a great wizard. The note read that my dragon and I would meet again. The messenger Raven that I of course named Raven perched my shoulder.
"I guess we should get packing huh." The bird nodded and I gathered our things and set out. A giant shadow appeared over head before landing in front of me. At this point, he was the only dragon left that I haven't met. He was a red dragon who breathed fire.
"Hello child, I am the mighty fire dragon king igneel." The dragon said. I looked up at him in slight awe. "You must be (y/n), Acnologia's daughter." I nodded my head in response, not sure what to say to him. Raven looked at the dragon. "I know you're going to set off soon, but if you ever see my son Natsu stick with him okay? He has bright pink hair." -pink hair? That's interesting for a male.-
"I will." I bow to Igneel respectfully before he begins taking off.
"I'll make sure to keep in touch then!" I smiled softly and waved the fire dragon king off. I continued to set off to make a name for my self, eventually becoming the most powerful human wizard to exist and becoming the fifth wizard saint.
