Today is my eighteenth birthday.
Great.

On their eighteenth birthday, each girl is given to her mate.

Once again ,GREAT

"Today's the day !" I hear my parents shout not knowing what I had in mind.

" oh, come on " you're getting your mate ".

After about what seems like an hour I was ready to go to the Chosen circle

I stood there ,everyone staring at me I was scared .I would lose my parents forever.I would lose my friends,everyone all over " my mate" naturally I was angry.everyone I loved would be cut out of my life.......forever.

"Alia Mongumry, please step forward child" said an old lad whom I had seen many times around the village ."Zane Warlock, step forward child I know you're here" . Fire blazed as a man ,looking about my age stepped forward and held out his hand for me to take it....I didn't.

"Take my hand" I heard a voice say ,I looked up because he taller than me ,and to my surprise ,I saw the most stunning man I have ever seen .He had platinum blonde hair , icy blue eyes, and the fairest skin I have ever seen. his face was just ........perfect.
I quickly took his hand and shivered to find that it was ice cold .I quickly pulled away ,shocked by the temperature of his skin. The on creatures with temperatures so cold ....................WERE VAMPIRES
