Chapter 5: Home

I'm home now, thank god I hated being locked up in a room and not being able to do anything.

My mom and dad decided it would be better if I was homeschooled so I guess I don't have to go back ever again. Thank goodness.

I heard the door ring as I lay on the couch and I couldn't get up to answer it so I decided to yell Daniel.

"DANIEL!!!! SOMEONES AT THE DOOR" I yelled

"OKAY!" He yelled back as he ran down the stairs

I heard the door open and Daniel talking but I couldn't tell who was there.

"MA BOISSSSS" Daniel yelled

"Come on in, I'm sure she'll be happy to see you all"

I sat up eager to see who was there when everyone walked in...

Jonah, Corbyn, Jack, Zach, Astrid, Winter and Samson????

"Oh... What is happening?" I laughed

"Well we wanted to come and see how you're doing and since you aren't coming back to school and we didn't get your number we had to ask the boys for a favour" Winter laughed

"Oh... WAIT when did that happen???!" I laughed pointing at the two

Astrid and Jonah were holding hands.

"WHAT??? OH" Jonah looked down at their hands not realising he was holding her hand.

"We are just friends" Astrid laughed

"Just friends?" Jonah asked looking her upset

"OH MY GOD, MY SHIP IS SAILING!" Corbyn yelled making us all laugh

Astrid and Jonah hit Corbyn's arm making him yelp

He leaned down and planted a kiss on her cheek. And her face went red.
At this point everyone was screaming.

"AWWWWWW"

"SEE I TOLD YOU GUYS" Corbyn yelled

"Yeah well you see we met at the hospital..." Astrid began....

Astrid's POV 3 weeks ago:

I heard the news about Hope and I couldn't help but feel bad for her and Jack.  Let's just say words spread really quickly and everyone was talking about it.

I cannot believe that she could die.

At lunch everyone was quiet even Samson who normally was talking about his boy drama but everyone was left broken.

"Have you guys heard anything?" Molly asked breaking the silence

"Nothing" we all answered

I walked out and headed to class when I saw Jonah walk in, I forgot he was Daniels friend so he must know how Hope was doing.

"Hey Jonah?" I asked

"Yeah?" His gaze met mine

"I know we don't talk or anything but Hope is one of my friends I was wondering if you knew anything about how she's doing?" I looked into his eyes

"I don't know much but.. but if you want you can come after school with me to go and see her?" He smiled sympathetically

"Yeah that would be amazing thank you" I replied.

School was soon over and Jonah walked with me to the hospital.

"So.. Astrid tell me about yourself"

I smiled down at my feet..

"Well I'm a Gemini, i like aesthetic things and I'm basically your tumblr girl" I laughed

"I know it's cringe but I like it and I like small bands and singers who haven't been discovered yet and I love reading books." I continued as I met His gaze

"That's pretty cool Astrid.. I guess I'm pretty boring compared to you" He laughed

"I'm basically the colour grey and your the whole rainbow" He grinned

"Rainbow girl... I like it" He smiled at himself thinking I hadn't heard him.

"Rainbow girl?" I laughed

"If that's okay?" He laughed nervously. Cute... I guess.

"Yeah" I laughed trying to hide the fact I was blushing.

Okay.. so maybe I'm starting to like Jonah???

Astrid's POV-

I walked into school and everyone was looking at me and smiling.

I felt sick. Why are they staring?? What did I do??? Was it because of Jonah?

No.. it couldn't be. I've liked Jonah for two weeks now but I could never tell him.

I walked over to my normal table when I saw him...

"Jonah?" I asked confusedly

"Um.. yeah hi Astrid."

"What's up?" I laughed

"I wrote you a song... okay I know it sounds stupid but I like you... I really, really, really like you" he rushed

"Astrid I know you may not like me back but-"

I cut him off.

His lips.

I did not care who saw us. All I knew was that I liked this boy.

I broke apart from him to catch my breath. I was blushing like crazy.

"So.. I'm guessing you feel the same?" He smiled widely

"Of course Jonah! I was just kinda scared you didn't feel the same.." I smiled up into his eyes.

"So about that song.." he grinned

"So yeah" Jonah laughed

"You guys are SO CUTE AWWWEE" I squealed

"What do you all want to do today?"

"A movie night?" Zach asked

"YES I HAVE POPCORN" Corbyn yelled

"Okay.. Corbyn but please can you quieten down your hurting my ears" I moaned

"Okay, Okay.. CAN WE WATCH IT???" Corbyn yelled again

"CORBYN!!!"

"Oh shit sorry!" He laughed
