(Third person)
"Papa," Eleven whispers into Hoppers ear. A loud snore erupts from him. "Papa," she repeats. Hopper rolls onto his side. "Papa!"
Hopper sits up with a startle. "Yeah, kid?"
"Papa, you're going to be late," Eleven holds his watch in front of his face.
"I know kid... just, don't call me papa, ok?"
Eleven nods. "What to call, then?"
Hopper laughs. "Still need to work on English, kid. But you can call me dad." Hopper reaches his hand out and ruffles Eleven's hair.
She smiles. "Dad,"
"Yeah. So I'll get dressed, and then I can make us breakfast. Sound good?"
"Eggos," Eleven reminds.
Hopper sighs. "Fine, kid. But you can't just live on carbs. It makes you fat,"
"Eggos... carbs?" Eleven raises an eyebrow.
"Yep. So ummm... a little privacy would be nice?" Hopper gets out of his creaky mattress and rests a hand on Eleven's shoulder.
"Yes, dad," Eleven walk out of his room. "I'll be waiting for Eggos in the kitchen."
"Alright kid,"
Hopper dresses in his chief jacket, pants, boots, and hat.
"Ok, kid," Hopper says walking into the kitchen, "I'll make your Eggos."
Eleven hands him three boxes of waffles.
"Uh kid? You can't just-"
"Hungry," Eleven cuts him off.
Hopper sighs. "Let's just start with one, and come back for more. Okay?"
"Okay,"
Hopper toasts up the waffles and lays 3 on both of their plates. Eleven squirts on the syrup.
"Good work, kid." Hopper admires his adoptive-daughter decorate the waffles.
"Thank you, dad,"
The two sit at the small table under the dim lamp light. They eat in silence; enjoying the delicious breakfast.
An alarm goes off. Hopper turns to look at it.
"Oh, I have to go. See you later, kid." Hopper puts his hat and gets up.
"M-Mike?" Eleven stops him.
Hopper looks at her. "Oh yeah... how about when I'm back?"
Eleven thinks for a moment. "Okay. What time?"
"I think I can get out early today... so 3:15?"
Eleven nods. "Okay. Promise?"
"Y-yeah kid. Promise."
Eleven and Hopper look at each other for a moment. Then Eleven gets up and walks up to him. She wraps her arms around his waist.
"Love you, dad," Eleven whispers.
Hopper quickly blinks back a tear. "Yeah... me too El."
Eleven lets go of Hop and he slowly closes the door behind him.
"Bye," He smiles at her.
"Bye," Eleven responds.
Hopper gets into his car and drives down the dirt road leading out of the woods. Eleven watches him until he's gone.
