I still had trouble deciding as I looked over at every shelf in the store I was in, it was hard deciding what to buy gifts for people close to me. Yep, it was that time of year again. Christmas.
Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, but it's just so busy and I have so many gifts to buy for different people.
It's just that this year, I can't come home, not while dad's there. So I promised my mom I would call her, it was the least that I could do.
"Hmm Chiho might like this" I thought to myself as I grabbed a japanese lucky cat off the shelf.
Well, I've only met Chiho a few times so I'm not to sure what she likes, same goes for everyone else.
Well, I know Uru loves video games. Ashia is a cheapskate so he'd appreciate a gift card or coupon. And I've seen Mao reading manga before so I might get him a manga for Christmas.
*time skip*
I've already brought presents for Mao (manga), Ashia (literally a grocery store coupon lol), Emi (a phone case), Chiho (the lucky cat) and Suzuno (scented candles), but I still had to get something for Uru.
So now here I am at 'GameGo', looking around for PC and PASTA games. However there were a lot of people here and I didn't like it, I could feel my anxiety starting to kick in.
"Hi, can I help you?" A male employee approached me, making me tense slightly, I really disliked social interaction.
"U-umm..." I stuttered.
I could have just said no, but this was a pretty big store, and if I ask for his help, I can get out of here sooner. The sooner, the better.
"Y-yeah, I'm just looking for a game for someone special" I managed to tell him through my stuttered words.
Why did I phrase it like that? It sounds like I'm talking about a-
"A boyfriend?" The employee teased, making a blush rise to my cheeks.
"No no no no, it's not like that" I waved my hands in front of me frantically, "he's just a good friend, and he really likes video games" I said to the employee.
"Oh I see, so what consoles does he own, and what kind of games does he play, any genre in particular?" The employee asked.
"Umm, he likes the RPG genre, he plays games like Skyrim and Farcry, and he owns a PC and PASTA" I tell him.
"Okay, follow me" he said as we walked away from the crowd and over to a shelf filled with PC games.
"I recommend Fallout 4, it's a open-world apocalypse game made by Bethesda so I think he'll like it" the employee told me as he took a copy of the game from the shelf and handed it too me.
"And it's on discount right now so it only costs 2,500¥" he tells me.
"I think he'll love it, I'll take it" I tell the employee. He nodded as I handed the game to him so he could scan it and I could pay for it.
*time skip*
I was heading home now so I could wrap everyone's gifts and such, but first, I want to go to sleep.
Who knew Christmas shopping was so tiring?
As soon as I got back, I placed all the shopping bags on the floor and flopped onto my bed, my eyes shut and before I knew it, I was out faster than a candle in a cyclone.
