(Y/n)'s P.O.V

"So... I guess you didn't hear back from them?" Chiho asked me about my job interview as I took the can of Ramune away from my lips and placing it down onto the table, my lips pursed as I felt the embarrassment settle in.

"No..." I croaked out as I drank more Ramune from the can, "that's the fifth place I've placed in an application for... And I'm still jobless! At this rate I'll have to pack up and move back in with my parents..." I moped as my head landed into the table with a loud and painful *THUD*.

"W-well, you cant give up just yet! Maybe they just haven't called yet?" Emi pointed out in an attempt to raise my dire mood, but I really was disappointed.

I can't believe I was rejected for every place I applied for... And my bank account is running dry as the days go by with no income

The last thing I want is to go home, I'm not living under the same roof as dad, never again

"Hey... don't be so hard on yourself... You just have to keep trying, you'll land a job eventually! I know it!" Chiho fist pumped the air with enthusiasm, her brown eyes twinkled as she had an idea, I could just tell.

"I know! How about we pay Mr Maou and the others a visit? Company is a good thing to have when your feeling down" Chiho suggested to me.

I thought about it for a moment, "sure, why not?" I agreed with a smile, the three of us stood up from the ground and left my apartment not before locking the door.

It's been a while since I've seen Uru, I still haven't thanked him in person for the Fallout 4 add on he got me!

"Hey losers! Open up!" Emi knocked aggressively on the door, much to Chiho's concern, "Ms Yusa, there's no need to be angry" Chiho raised her hands in defends at the fuchsia haired girl.

"Would it kill you to be nice? Ms oh-so-holy-hero?" Maou groaned as he opened the door until it was stopped by the door chain. "We wanna crash here for a while" she demanded.

"Chiho and (y/n) are good to come in, but I don't like your attitude Yusa" Maou teases, only making the girl more infuriated by the second, "damn you!" She growled.

"All you have to do is ask nicely, is that so hard?" Maou was starting to become amused now, he was about to hear Emi ask him nicely, and oh he wasn't going to let her forget it, he really is a demon when he wants to be.

"Grrr... Can I come in... Please?" She growled at her own sentence, perhaps even disgusted at herself for obeying the demon lord, but Maou kept his promise and opened the door for the three of us. "I-It's good to see you, Mr Maou" Chiho smiled as the three of us walked in.

Can't say anything is different, Ashiya is doing housewife things and Uru is on his computer, the same old stuff I guess, but what else is there to do? They're apartment was only a very small one, a 2 bedroom one to be exact.

"There's drinks in the refrigerator if you girls want any, Ashiya went shopping yesterday" Maou replied as he sat down at the small table in the centre of the apartment. And Emi didn't hesitate to open and raid the refrigerator of beverages, grabbing out a cola for herself, "you guys want one?" She asked Chiho and I, but the both of us shook our heads in response, prompting her to close the refrigerator door and sit beside us, cracking open the can and drinking from it slowly.

Chiho started a conversation with Maou but I found myself beginning to drown out of it. So I decided to shuffle over to where Uru was sitting at his computer, "hey, how have you been?" I asked as I sat right beside him so our bodies were touching.

"I've been good, how about you?" He asked as his eyes glanced at me but remained focused. "You'll be better I guess, I'm still jobless, we're both hermits now!" I joked with a slight chuckle.

"Hey!" He smirked playfully as he gently flicked my forehead, making me pout and press a hand against my forehead to dull the slight pain. "Okay, I deserved that" I laughed.
