Chapter 7: Reality(?)
I wake up the next morning, smiling as I see the bright sunlight falling gently on the bed, illuminating it. Ah, I've always loved mornings, although I hate waking up. I rub my eyes, and see that Rei's already up. I hear sizzling from downstairs, and know that he's making breakfast. I smell bacon, and I also smell eggs. I head to the bathroom to change and get ready for the day, putting my hair into a high ponytail.
"Good morning Rei!" I cheer happily as I see him making bacon and eggs. He turns to smile at me.
"Good morning, Lyrica. Breakfast is bacon and eggs, you don't mind, do you?" I shake my head.
"I love the food you make, so I don't care." I sit down at the table, waiting eagerly for him to finish up. I pull out my phone, and play the Mystic Messenger chat room that had just appeared.
"Yes! I got my new route!" I say excitedly, and Rei sets the plates down on the table.
"I see that the new game hasn't taken your addiction to Mystic Messenger away." Rei comments, and I laugh.
"Why would you even think that? Mystic Messenger is literally my life." I respond. After eating, we head to school. After enduring the scoldings from teachers who I didn't do homework for, the day finally ends. I leap up and grab Rei, and we head back to the house, where I open the computers, and we log on to "Rewind", and start playing again.
After weeks of this, I get a new email from the "Unknown" that introduced us to the game. I show it to Rei, and we read it carefully.
Hello again, Lyrica and Rei!
Once again, this is Unknown, reporting an update for "Rewind"! To proceed, you need to join the game.
At this line, I glance at Rei in confusion.
"Did you say something?" I ask, and he shakes his head.
"Why?"
"Oh, I just heard something. Must be someone outside." I conclude, and then we continue reading.
And by join the game, I mean physically join the game. So, I guess we'll be seeing you soon!
-Unknown
"What...does he mean by physically?" I croak out, terrified of what's going to happen. Rei mirrors my expression, face contorted in fear.
"I don't know. But...let's go to sleep instead of playing tonight." He suggests, and I nod eagerly. So we both get ready to sleep, and drift off immediately.

"Success. We have gotten all participants to get captured into the game." A voice speaks in the darkness.
"Even Lyrica and Rei?" A female voice asks, and the first figure nods. A sadistic grin spreads on the woman's face.
"Good."

I wake up the next morning, feeling refreshed. I open my eyes, expecting to see the bright sunlight in my room. I did see sunlight...but I was lying in a field of grass. The sweet smell of flowers wafts towards me, and I stand up, startled, seeing no houses in sight. I glance around frantically, hoping to see at least one familiar thing, but nothing came up. Except for Rei. I shake him gently, hoping he would wake up.
"Rei. Rei!" I call his name, and he stirs, sitting up. I notice that his hair has turned a sparkling shade of silver. When he opens his eyes, I expected to see his normal blue eyes, but they're hazel...no. This can't be...
