Chapter 4

Jay
I woke up from a horrible dream about Bey and I just knew I'm fucked.

Tyran woke me up and we got back to the house so I could change and get fresh. Now we are on the way to meet Izzy, well I'm on the way to meet Izzy. Ty Ty is staying back and we gonna meet up later.

Getting out the car I saw Izzy just getting to the valet service. We made eye contact but knew we couldn't embrace until we got to a secluded stop inside the restaurant. Once inside a room we reserved we spoke.

"It's been a long time." She said embracing me with a hug.

"Too long apparently." I said back to her.

"I know we have a lot to speak about." She said as I pulled the chair out for her to sit down then I sat.

"Why now? How old is she? Where is she?" I asked a line of questions.

"Well let me just get something's out in the open. I wasn't going to tell you at all. We've been doing well with just the two of us and her abuela. But now it seems like I'm no longer enough so your the only family she has left." She said. I nodded for her to continued rubbing my chin hair.

"Brooklyn is 12 years old now. Her birthday is December 1st 2005. So she was definitely conceived that night we ended everything. She at school right now 6th grade. She is so smart, she never asked about you on any occasion so like I said." She said. And looked at me as if she was waiting for me to say something.

"I'm not trying to sound like a jerk or an asshole. But I've known you for a long time Izzy and when your mind is made up it takes a whole war to change it. You said she never asked about me. Why now? What made you change your mind?" I asked.

"My cancer came back." She said. I looked up at her shocked. "It's more aggressive this time stage 4. I've been to 5th, 6th, and 7th opinion doctors they all gave me the same results. I have 3 months to live Jay. I'm so sorry I never wanted to throw this on you like this but pretty soon you will be all she has." She told me. I had tear running from my face. My long time friend who had my first child is dying.

"Don't talk like that. You know god doesn't give us more than we can handle." I told her.

"Jay I've accepted this I just need you to tell me that when that DNA test comes you got our daughter. She is such a mommy's girl Jay that in all of this she is the only person I am worried about." She told me.

"I don't know if i will be enough." I told her. We sat there for awhile before she got a phone call that said she had to leave.

We separated and I got in the car on the way to meet Ty Ty when Bey called.

" hello." I answered.

"Hey Jay we miss you here." She said

"I miss you too baby. How are my girls?" I asked.

"I'm good. Finished rehearsal for the tour now I'm waiting for the start date. And little miss Blue Blue seems as if she is waiting up for you. Last night she fell asleep watching the room door." She said. I missed them so much. I knew I needed to get back to them I had so much on my mind. Being with them helps me think straight because right now I'm at a crossroad.

"I'm coming home tonight." I told her. I heard her scream and began to chuckle.

"Yeah let my baby know I love her. I'm going to get off the phone now because I have some last minute things to get done and then I'm all you guys." I told her getting off then phone and going up to my house where I found Ty Ty waiting for me.

"So how did it go?" He asked.

"I'm going home." I told him. Getting a Gatorade out the fridge.

"What? You talked with her? Well what happened!" He asked.

"I know she's my kid. I'm just not sure if I should do this. The kid never asks about me. And to top it all off she wants me to step in as soon as the DNA results come back because she dying. I just think her abuela can do more than I can."

"What the fuck Jay. I know this not you talking. You and me both know you want more kids. This is another kid for you. Your kid, whose mother is dying Jay you have to step up to the plate." Ty Ty said.

"I'm just not sure. I know if I'm around Bey I can think straight. So I'm going to go home think all this over." I told him.

"So you gonna tell Bey." Ty Ty asked.

"I dont know I only have to tell her if she coming to live with me." I told him.

"Jay you not talking straight so imma say this. Go home wait for the DNA results with your family and when they come back for you like we both know it is. Bring your family and sit and tell everyone together." He said. I thought about everything he said and he was right I know she is going to end up being mine it just I can't loose Bey.

The next day came and I was now in my bed with Blue's sleeping body on top of mine and Bey laying beside us.
