A/N: Super sentimental and fluffy. Beware of cavities and diabetes that may be induced by reading this. My Sta.sh on my dA isn't working so it's going up here first.

Franziska smiled lovingly as she rubbed her taut stomach. She lay cozily on the bed lost in thought about all the events that led up to her pregnancy.

Lang had business to attend to. As much as he would've loved to stay he wasn't the one carrying a child. Franziska had grown appreciative of how protective Lang had become of her during this period, he was always by her side. He was always doing what she asked, whether it be getting her what she craved, massaging her back, feet, ankles, or making sure she was comfy in every way. He had morphed into an absolute sweetheart while she was pregnant.

It was a bit puzzling to her honestly. She had never expected or required of him to stay by her side, as the pregnancy was unexpected. But when she informed him of the pregnancy he promised her that everything was going to turn out alright. That promise had held, as there had been no hiccup in the pregnancy or them growing together. Though she didn't expect Lang to stay with her, Miles had other plans.

Franziska let a soft giggle fly from her lips as she remembered her brother's tantrum. Sure, it wasn't as funny when it was in the moment when she told him the news (it was rather scary to be honest.) And she was fully convinced that Miles was going to take the liberty of making sure Lang would be incapable of never producing children again. Though in the end he agreed with their plan to keep the child. But dang did her brother know how to have a hissy fit.

She had shortly after the discussion started showing, which was rather embarrassing. But Lang made sure no judgmental words or looks came her way. Anyone who made so much as a wrong glance could kiss their life goodbye. He was so protective, like a wolf defending one of his pack members from harm.

Franziska remembered the day they took a walk on the same path when they discussed the child openly. He insisted they stop by the lake. She was puzzled as to why he halted their stroll until he fell on one knee and proposed to her. It took her a while as she choked on her own tears but she, in the end said yes.

She now found herself more grateful for it now than when she was when it happened. Miles was also quite pleased with Lang's proposal. What shocked Franziska is that Miles had nothing to do with it and proposed on his own free will. The wedding went well, even with having to work around her growing belly.

About a month after the wedding Lang and Franziska went to get an ultrasound. Seeing their child for the first time filled them both with wonder at seeing something they created, a life soon to be born.

Franziska closed her eyes and allowed the pillows to cradle her head. She cracked one eye as she felt a gentle movement within her. Sitting up slightly she felt and rubbed the area of disturbance. A smile made its way across her lips as the child kicked again. It came back to her when they moved for the first time. Lang loved it when the baby moved. He was always talking to them, teasing them and above these two loving all over them. The child was indeed rather active, which Franziska didn't really mind, unless it was three in the morning.

A very particular memory came to her mind. About a month ago, Franziska was musing over the fact that there was another, smaller heartbeat inside of her. She found it endearing when Shi-Long Lang strained his hearing against her very swollen stomach in an attempt to hear the tiny rhythm. His eyes went wide and he swore that he could hear it clear as day.

And now here they were, Franziska growing closer to her due date with each passing day. She gave her stomach a loving rub. And To think that all of this was unplanned, unexpected, an accident. How life and love had blossomed through all of this.

That a mistake like this turned into a beautiful miracle.
