Levi's POV

The soldiers in my squad are fine... I think. At least they're better than the other shits in the legion. Yes, I'm talking about annoying fangirls that join The Survey Corps just to get a shot at having a chance with me. Hell, if those b*tches think that they can survive this shit, they're just going to become titan's shit. Honestly, I'm starting to the girl in my squad there's something about her that makes me feel uncomfortable. It's probably because I don't want her to be one of those clingy b*tches.

*knock knock

Who is it? It better not be something meaningless. It also better not be shitty glasses and her theories on the Titans again.

"Come in,"

"Corporal Levi," a guy saluted me. He wore a green felt hat with a blue feather sticking out of it. he also wore a matching green tunic. He had an elaborate brooch on his left chest. That's...

"I'm a messenger from His Majesty," Wonder what news does the King want to tell me.

"Go on,"

"The King requests your presence,"

Petra's POV:

I looked in the mirror. The dress was yellow in colour, but it had a cut that was beneath my shoulder. Hence it was a little too revealing for my liking. Stupid Father, making me wear this dress. My long hair was put up in an elaborate braid. Gems adorning it. It was heavy.

"Princess, the King requests for you," Maria bowed her head.

"Maria, how many times have I told you Petra would do and no need to behave like this when it's only the two of us," I sighed. she still remained in her bowed position. I left my room and walked down the empty halls. They stood about 5 meters tall. There, hanging where all the portraits of the past rulers of this kingdom, the first, Historia Reiss. She had blonde short hair and bright blue eyes. According to history, she single-handedly sealed the Titans from the world. Too bad a thousand years later they have returned.

No matter how many portraits of people there are looking at me, this castle is not home.

"Father?" I knocked on the door. The ballroom that felt so empty, yet once held many precious moments. I opened the door. It reminded me of the first time I sneaked into one of the masquerade and Mom taught me how to dance.

"I'm here like you requested-" my eyes drifted off to him. That infamous stoic expression that makes girls go gaga over him and that famous black undercut. What is Corporal doing here?!

"Father, what is Corporal Levi doing here?" I glanced at my father, the King sitting on the throne, wearing expensive robes, and of course, the crown on his head.

"Petra! My dear daughter, you look so pretty in that dress and your hair. It makes you look magnificent," he put his hands together, sparkling eyes and a broad smile as he fangirled over me.

"Dad, what is the Corporal doing here?" I repeated my question. It was either he was trying to rub off PDA on Corporal or something else.

"Ahem," he cleared his throat and tried to be serious.

"Princess Petra Ral Reiss," he announced my name. He's probably going to embarrass me in front of the Corporal. Tch, how shallow. "You've been running around the kingdom," Yep I was correct. but why tell the Corporal?  "You've also been neglecting your royal duties!!" It's always royal duties this, royal duties that. I'd rather be poor than a princess. Even being a princess doesn't allow me to go anywhere in my kingdom!!

"Mom wouldn't want me to be stuck in the castle!!!" I snapped at him.  I immediately felt like taking my words back. Mom is a very sensitive topic to Father. Crap, I'm so screwed.

"Corporal Levi," He pronounced Corporal's name wrong.

"It's Corporal Le-vi Your Majesty," Corporal bowed at Father

"Sorry Le-vi," Father dropped the formalities. Wait, won't that mean I'll have to call Corporal, Levi? "Ahem," There he goes being all 'serious'.

"When Levi is back with his missions, he will be your bodyguard, Petra," What? My bodygaurd? I don't even need one.

"He would be there with. you when you're doing royal duties," so that's what he's aiming for. Making me do the paperwork.

"When you're training," Great! Training! I can't get out of it. Training is not about building muscles nor fighting. It's about acting like a princess.

"And when you're sleeping," Eh? EH?!

"That's so creepy," Not just that, I won't be able to leave the castle to go for duties.
