It's as if someone cares you know? About my adolescence. About how I lived through Freshman year. Well, I'm going to act like someone does. So amuse me, and stay along for the ride. As this will be the online edition of my book, 'Leaving Never Never Land,' filled with extra tidbits that I didn't share with my other audience. I hope you enjoy it.
Never Never Land
Hey Peter Pan,
Can you fly
Me Away
To Neverland?
Where we’d
Never worry
About age or pressure
Only pirates, and gold treasure.
They say it’ll take
A bit of faith
A lot of trust
And a sprinkling of pixie dust.
I’ve got the faith
And in you I trust
all I need
Is some fairy dust.
And it’s the
Second star to the right
And straight on
Till Morning?
Well let’s test
That out
and leave
this place.
And I say
I wanna be
One of
Your lost boys.
And Peter Pan,
Together we
Can be forever young
And alive.
All I need
Is the magic dust
You take my hand
And we can fly away.
There’ll be
No more parents
No jobs or tests
And no responsibilities.
It shouldn’t matter
Who we leave behind
It’s just you and me
And the night sky.
If you need
I’ll take your hand
And guide you through
These unknown lands.
Yet I still don’t know
How to fly
So teach me, Pan,
It’s do or die.
I’m a quick learner
I catch on fast.
And I promise you
I’ll pass this class..
So fly us baby
Fly us away
It doesn’t matter
If it takes all day.
If I should
Fall asleep on the way
I know I’m safe.
Just please don’t drop me.
But if you were to fall
Asleep instead of me
I may be lost
But you’re safe in my arms
So, note this love,
I promise to
Keep on flying,
For you.
And even though
This ride can be hard
We’ll fly all night
In each other’s hearts.
So make me a promise
With your pinkie too
That if we’re to fall
You know I love you.
For I’ll fight back
Against Captain Hook
If only it meant
I would save you.
Because I too
Made a promise
That I would
Always fight for you.
The second star
Looks pretty great
But I like the stars
In your eyes better.
Lastly, We’ll fly together
forever and ever
For true love wins out
In the land of Never.
