"seokjin?"
jihye called out to her boyfriend, who was being all nervous and jittery which was totally not seokjin's behaviour. now that she thought of it, there were no dad jokes being thrown at her, not even a horrible pickup line.
she gently landed her hand on top his.
"seokjin." she called out again, clearer this time. seokjin snapped out of his thoughts and averted his attention on his girlfriend.
"yeah?" he replied, a bit rushed.
"are you okay? you seem a bit under the weather today."
"yeahyeahyeahimfinedon'tworry." jihye shot him a questioning look. seokjin sighed in defeat.
"you know what? i'm not fine at all."
'is he... breaking up with me?' jihye thought.
seokjin knelt down, a small velvet box in his hands.
'ohmygoditshappening! stay fucking calm, kim jihye!' (please tell me you got that reference)
"kim jihye, will you-"
jihye woke up from her dream, only to be greeted by her mint haired co-worker who was holding a bottle of windex. (that she easily concluded was the liquid he sprayed her with.)
"what the fuck, yoongi?! That was for cleaning!" yoongi shrugged, "you weren't waking up."
"you bothered my dreammmm!" she whined. "It was a nice dream." she muttered, her bottom lip sticking out.
"was it about jin-hyung?" he teased. how did he kniw, you ask? well, during the grand opening dinner for the café, she got really drunk and sputtered all her secrets to yoongi, which she regretted later on.
yoongi saw it coming. i mean, who wouldn't like a man who can cook, a gentleman and extremely good looking?
yoongi didn't oppose the idea, despite being the overprotective best friend. the only problem was, seokjin has his own love interest and jihye was aware of that. he recalled that one time where they both were on break, her index finger swirling the spoon around the hot cup of caramel macchiato that was freshly brewed.
"jihye." yoongi remembered calling her name sternly. ever since her first boyfriend, yoongi was extremely protective towards her (which is probably the reason why she's still single). He scared away any guys who got close to her, let alone to be her partner.
but seokjin was a different case. he was yoongi's best friend and yoongi trusts him a lot. seokjin was a figure that he adored so much, a person that he looks up to the most, a role model. But jihye liking seokjin?
that left him speechless.
"i know, i know. you are gonna list out the imperfections that he has in hopes that i won't like him."
"no," its not that. there's no such thing as imperfections in seokjin's dictionary. jihye rose one of her eyebrows.
"no?"
"the only problem is," he started. "he likes someone else, jihye."
that statement didn't make jihye shocked or surprised. it's not like yoongi expected her to burst into tears right there, but he can't quite make out the meaning behind jihye's smile. something was unsettling behind the mask she chose to wear that it left him baffled.
it was the same smile when he told jihye that he got a girlfriend,
the same smile when he told her that he was gonna drop out from college,
the same smile when he told jihye about his sexuality,
a smile that always left him confused.
who knew one smile could cause a thousand and one emotions?
that's when he decided, he won't interfere in his best friend's love life anymore.
he didn't stop jihye from moving into seokjin's apartment.
he didn't stop jihye from dropping out of college just to fulfill their promise of opening a café that was merely a joke back then.
he supported her in whatever she was doing, even though he knew making seokjin happy was a sick obsession of hers.
"oi min yoongi!" yoongi snapped back into his senses and was met with jihye who had her hands on her hips. "go back to work!"
yoongi scoffed.
"who are you to tell me what to do?"
"i am kim jihye and i am the owner of this café." yoongi rolled his eyes and smiled his infamous gummy smile.
"alright, mrs.boss!" he exclaimed, pecked jihye's cheeks and sprinted away.
"yah, yah! what do you mean mrs?! i'm not married!" she turned her head the direction that yoongi ran to.
"that shorty i swear to god." she chuckled lightly.
if min yoongi wasn't gay, she would've blushed. if min yoongi wasn't gay, her heart would've fluttered. if min yoongi wasn't gay, she would've dated him.
"Yup." she nodded to herself. "would 10/10, definitely tap that ass." she muttered.

Republish because i posted the full chap on the web and double checked it yet wattpad decided to be a bitch and posted half of it. Then my phone broke down and i lost all backup to the story so i had to ask my editors to send me the full chap (please take note that i lost all their numbers due to my phone breaking down).
So i had to direct message them yet instagram had word limits so she can't send it to me. Both of the editors had been busy due to Christmas so both of them can't reply to direct messages that often. I decided to grab my dad's phone and start begging my editor's boyfriend for her number. After that i messaged her and i became stressed so we decided to play Roblox.
I kinda lost track of time and here we are now.
