Stars glittered within the eyes
Of a predator whose gaze it hides
Within the day it fears
But by the night runs free and clear
Never to be too far away
From the one on which it wishes to prey
Blood stains the ground on which it treads
Screams of the innocent fill its head
Tears stream down a ghost white face
Staring within eyes filled with disgrace
Eyes that stare right back
With not a feeling, not a shame
Terror fills the tear brimmed eyes
Of the prey as the predator steps in sight
Blood drips down from the chin
Of the predator fighting from within
The prey is forever trying to hide
From the predator that is inside
Eyes shine with sorrow and dismay
In both the predator and the prey.
