chapter 2: surprise!!

Annabeths POV:

Beep Beep Beep 

I rolled over slammed my hand into my alarm clock and groaned, I was a month into the school year and I was already sick of it ( weird right !! I mean daughter of Athena here) everyday at least 5 people ask me out!! And when I say I have a boyfriend they just laugh and say they don't believe it. Even my own friends don't believe me. Their names are Lily, Harry, Sam and Emily. Emily and Harry are dating and so are Sam and Lily and even after I have shown them pictures of Percy they don't believe me saying I photoshopped him in. I miss Percy and I still wake up at night from nightmares after tar-tart that place and I wish Percy were there to hold me when I wake up screaming. Anyway I'm sick of constantly telling people to back off without punching them. I mean I have a boyfriend take the hint already!! I  groggily walked into the bathroom grabbing a change of clothes on the way and took a shower. I came out 30 minutes later with dry and washed hair wearing a short sleeved T-shirt with an owl on the front and grey hoodie with some white skinny jeans and a black pair of converse. I walked downstairs and looked at the clock it was only 7:00 am so I got a bowl of cereal and slowly started to eat it by the time I had finished, brushed my teeth, put my hair in a messy ponytail and shouldered my owl- printed backpack it was 7:30. I sighed 'time for another day of torture' I thought and walked over to my grey Maserati and drove the 10 minute drive to my school. (A/N- Lowell high school I think its in San Francisco?? Not sure I live in England!!) As soon as I arrive a crowd of jocks all smile and shoot longing glances my way. I just push through them all and make my way to my locker which my friends were stood by. To the right of my locker is Sam, Emily, Lily and Harry's lockers on the left of my locker is an empty locker then one of the jocks lockers next to some of the 'walking barbies' lockers. I could tell everyone envied my friends, the jock and whoever is going to be in the one directly next to mine. "Hey" greeted Emily and the others. "Hey, what's up?" I asked them as they all seemed really excited about something. " Have you heard about the new student? He's supposed to be coming today." Harry said "No" I said but then a very familiar voice over the loudspeaker saying " Can wise girl come to the main office please" left me standing there in shock then I snapped out of it and without saying a word to my friends bolted to the main office I could faintly hear my friends calling out to me but I ignored them. Then I saw him 'Percy' then I felt my face split into a grin and I shouted " Seaweed Brain!!" he turned around and if possible his face split into an even bigger grin "Wise girl" he shouted and opened his arms wide. I ran into them and he picked me up and spun me around then without caring that almost the whole school was watching we both simultaneously leaned in and kissed. When we broke apart I said the question on probably most peoples mind "What are you doing here?" his face lost his cheery expression and his face darkened and his eyes regained the shattered look they have been like since after the giant war and the pit "Chiron and the other Greek side of the family sent me to get 'a normal education' and to get my mind off of there " I looked at him with the same expression and said " We're not there anymore Seaweed brain we made and so did our friends and family we're alive that's what matters most. We can finally have a normal and happy life." He looked at me with tears in his eyes which broke my heart to see and then he whispered "We will probably never have a normal life but maybe we can finally have peace without all the death" I was about to reply but the warning bell rang and I looked up at Percy and asked him what his schedule was and was happy to see that we had the same classes except for electives. I had architecture and he had marine biology. I smiled at him and started dragging him towards advanced English. He probably got the advanced classes like me because whilst we were on the Argo II  I forced Percy to learn everything that I knew saying he needed it as it could help in battle and everyday demigod life. I dragged him to some seats at the back just as the bell rang......
