Chapter 3: I'll never be with you

Wednesday

Zack's POV

I woke up with Eve still in my arms. I smiled. It felt like I was protecting her and I liked it. Aj dragged me out of my thoughts.

"I got a heart attack when I saw you two like this last night. Still very cute" she whispered as she read her magazine. I had to try to stop myself from laughing.

"I hope it was the good sort of heart attack" I whispered back. She giggled.

"It was sort of one" she said with a laugh. That must of woken Eve up. Eve gave a yawn and I quickly acted like I was asleep.

"Wha.." She trailed off looking at me.

"Aj did him and I...?" Eve asked worried.

"No only cuddling" Aj said with a smile.

"Ok good" Eve said with a sigh.

"If you two were doing it last night, I wouldn't be in here right now" Aj said turning a page of her magazine.

"What if you and Zack hooked up though?" Aj asked nosily. Eve sighed.

"I dunno honestly. I only really see me and him as friends" she said.

Deep down I felt my heart shatter into millions of pieces. I really hated when I heard that sentence come out of her mouth. This isn't the first time though. I thought back to when my storyline with Eve finished.

-Flashback-

I looked at Eve and smiled.

"We did it" I said.

"Yeah we did, and it was so fun working together" she said as she gave me a smile. I scratched the back of my head.

"Hey Eve do you wanna grab something to eat?" I asked nervously. Eve looked at me surprised.

"Sure" she said with a smile. My eyes lit up.

"Well where would you like to go?" I asked.

"Hmmm to a Thai restaurant" she said happily.

"Ok let's go" I said as I grabbed her hand and started to head for the parking lot. Eve laughed.

"I love how your so out there" she said with a giggle as we reached the car.

"I wouldn't say I'm out there" I said opening Eve's door.

"Thank you. Zack for god's sake you wear a headband and glasses to the ring" Eve said with a giggle. I closed my door behind and looked at Eve.

"Hey, it's pretty cool and different from everyone else" I said playfully rolling my eyes. She just laughed.

"Different alright" she mumbled.

"Do you wanna walk Miss Torres?" I asked with a smile.

"No thank you Mr Ryder" she said with a giggle.

We sat there for at least a couple of hours chatting until I messed it all up.

I looked into her gorgeous green eyes and smiled. She smiled shyly back at me.

"Eve can I ask you a serious question?" I asked. She laughed.

"Last time you said that you asked, does Health Slater look more like a orange or a Wendy's girl" Eve said starting to laugh. I started to laugh too.

"This time I'm serious" I said calming myself down.

"Ok shoot" she said with a smile.

"Would you ever consider ever going out with me?" I asked a bit nervous. She looked at me shocked.
