Chapter 7: A Start of Something New

Zack's POV

I got changed into my 'SSSIIICCCKKK' purple muscle t-shirt and my new black, white, blue and purple Z trunks. They are my most favourite gear that I've worn yet. They are pretty sick if you ask me, but I doubt that I will get to show them to anyone other than the people who work here. I slid my knee pads up and finished tying my boots. I opened the door to the superstars locker room and walked out. I headed for catering which was my usual routine for the whole of Raw. A crew member ran up to me and started to walk with me. I looked down at them with curiosity.

"Mr Ryder, could you please make your way to Mr McMachon's office. He would like to speak with you" the smaller man said.

"Sure. Thanks for telling me" I said as I gave him my signature smile. He smiled back then started to hurry off.

I started to wonder why Vince wanted to see me?

"Wait, why did he want me?" I yelled out after the man but he was already gone.

I shrugged my shoulders as I quickly ran to catering to grab a Dare coffee before I started my journey to Vince's office.

5 minutes later

I was at Vince McMachon's office door just looking at the door handle anxiously. I was really nervous now because I had got to thinking why he wanted to see me. Maybe he wanted to release me since I heard they are making budget cuts. Maybe he thinks my job quality is horrible. Hmm I dunno, but all I know is that usually when someone like me gets called into Vince's office they come out without a job. I sighed as I knocked on the door.

"Come in" Vince yelled out.

I opened the door nervously as to what was going to happen next scared me. As I opened the door Vince was beaming at me. I also noticed I wasn't the only employee here. To my surprise Eve was here too.

"Good after noon Zack, thank you for coming" Vince said as he extended his hand.

"Good after noon to you too Mr McMchon" I said with my signature smile as I shook his hand.

"Please take a seat" Vince said taking his seat as I took mine.

I took a quick glance at Eve. She had this real serious face. I wanted to laugh but I held it back.

"Now you two are probably wondering why you're here. Let my tell you first off, you aren't in any trouble" Vince said with a warm smile.

I sighed as all my nerves disappeared and out of my corner of my eye I could see Eve loosened up a bit.

Vince chuckled.

"I don't get why all my employees think that they are in trouble, when I ask them here" Vince said shaking his head.

"Well anyway, some others and I have found that a lot of people liked the Zack and Eve storyline back in 2011 to 2012. So we thought we should bring it back" Vince said with a smile.

My heart beat quickened.

"Eve you are going to be with Zack in a on screen relationship, but not just yet. You both are going to do segments together and be in mix tag team matches together that will lead up to you both kissing each other. Then Zack will ask, you, Eve to be his girlfriend" Vince said looking at Eve as she nodded in understandment.

"This means you both will need to be travelling, staying, and going to interviews together. You will also have to make it look like your dating outside of the WWE so that this seems really real, so that the fans get into the storyline even more" Vince said as I was feeling really excited on the inside.
