Star Crossed (Aphmau AU)

[Aphmau's POV {2} <> Old Friends]

We get off stage and head to our trailer in the back off the concert venue where we see a group of people waiting, at first, I think it is just a group of super fans, but we get closer and I see a group of familiar smiles.
'Laurence! Dante! Cadenza! Zane! Nichole! And...?' I exclaimed, hugging each one as I said there name, except for one other girl, I didn't know her name, but she looked familiar to me. She was taller than me, only by a bit, had wavy brown hair and amber-hazel eyes, pale skin, dappled with an occasional freckle, she had glasses and sort of reminded me of Velma Dinkley from Scooby-Doo. She looked at the ground and didn't say anything.
'Oh, right,' Laurence said, rubbing the back of his neck, embarrassed, 'This is Kim, she was a friend of Garroth's so she joined the group, but onc-' I cut him off.
'WAIT! Where is Garroth? Is he planning like a surprise jump-scare? Getting food? OH! Getting CAKE?!' I said, looking around, I got super excited and then felt a hand on my shoulder.
'Aphmau, Garroth disappeared two years ago today, he left, and no one but Kim knows why, but she hasn't been the same since he left, she won't talk to anyone, we where hoping that you guys knew anything...' he suddenly made his voice very quiet, 'Or get it out of Kim for us.' 

We went inside and talked for a bit.

Suddenly, Kim cracked. We had been talking about all the fun memories we had during high school, I guess all of her fun memories had been with Garroth, because she started to cry, saying how he didn't want to leave, but due to family issues he did. Zane seemed confused, 'How had I not known about this' he said. But he realized that the'family issues' where that Garroth was the heir to the family company. And that is where our journey begins.
