My mind faded to black. Nothing but darkness and the sound of my ears ringing. My body sank deeper and deeper into the softness of my bed. I had fallen asleep within seconds.
I found myself dreaming.
I was alone in a trailer house. I wasn't sure what was going on, but I knew that something was definitely eerie. From outside I could here countless people screaming, but when I looked out the window no one was there. The screams had turned into vicious roars of absolute terror. I couldn't leave the tiny room I was in. I was afraid of what would be on the other side. That's when the scraping and tearing sounds began to edge the walls. There was a deep agonizing breathing coming from the other side of the door. Then It Bursted Open In A Furious Rage. The door kept slamming open and shut, open and shut. I closed my eyes and threw my hands over my ears then let out a scream that left my lungs gasping for air. I could feel bodies swarm around me all pulling on my clothes and screaming. So much screaming. As soon as I opened my eyes I was lost. Lost in a field. The grass was almost taller than I was. It was almost completely dark. The screams had faded far into the background. I was alone and for a moment I felt nothing but pure peace inside. But I soon realized that I wasn't alone. I could feel a large figure standing behind me. Its breathing was deep and never ending. I slowly turned to face the monster behind me, but what I saw wasn't a monster but a mirror. A mirror reflecting my own image. I looked into my eyes as the background had faded and the world opened up. Light had peered through the sky above making it almost impossible to see. The mirror image of myself had fell to the floor as if it was suffering. It soon evaporated by the powerful light, but I was still standing and all of my fears had dissipated. The light had saved me from the darkness.
I heard my phone ring against my leg from within my pocket. It had awakened me from my sleep. I rolled over onto my back and slipped my hand inside my pocket to get my phone. It said I had three new text messages from Colton. They said, "Where r u??" "Thanks for ditching asshole" "U better b at school"
It was 7:40am. Same time I woke up yesterday. I had roughly two hours of sleep. I'm not going to school today. I don't give a shit. I just wanted to sleep forever. Endlessly unaware of the world around me. Too bad that can't happen.
I heard someone stumble down the basement stairs outside my room, then a loud banging sound on my door. "Hey you little shit wake the fuck up and go to school!" Eric yelled through the door. I let out a long strenuous sigh. "You fuckin hear me? Get up!" he yelled again then bursted through the door. Breaking the lock. Why did I lock it?
He stumbled over to me. "Get the fuck up! Your bitch of a mom made me come down here, so you better fuckin listen!" he yelled again, then grabbed me by the arms and pulled me to the floor.
I shook him off of me and said, "Fuck you!"
Then he said, "What'd you say?" He grabbed me by my hair then forced my head to the floor. He used my face like a scrub brush against the floor. He was much stronger than I was and I stood no chance against him in a fight. "Go to fuckin school!!" He screamed at me with his face inches from my ear. He pushed off of me then stomped out of my room. I lay on the floor with my face in the carpet.
My phone started rang again. Another message. No doubt from Colton. I forced myself up from the floor then wiped little fuzzy bits of the carpet off my face. My left eye from where Corey hit me started bleeding and the stingy pain had started again. I grabbed my phone to read the message. It read, "Hey just wanna let u know ur a dick" I sent him back a message saying, "FUCK YOU" I smiled after that.
I still didn't want to go to school, but I can't stay here. Where else would I go. Nowhere. Fuck it let's go to school. Its a Friday anyways so I'll get out an hour early.
