The girl woke up by the sound of the annoying alarm going off beside her bed. She reached out, knocking the little machine down onto the ground before pulling herself out of her bed with a sigh. She took note of her late time and grabbed the first thing of clothing she saw, that item being a black hoodie. She slipped it on, not caring to pick out a shirt and put on a pair of her dark blue skinny jeans. The breakfast her older sister made for her left abandoned on the table as she ran out the door. "Im late, Im late, Im late..." she mumbled to herself as she ran down the street to her school a few blocks away.

She got a pass from the secretary before making her way to her fourth hour, keeping her head low before walking in and giving the pass to her teacher. After that, the day passed by quite quickly in her opinion. She met up with a few of her friends before beginning to walk her way home. The smiles and laughter slowly began to die down as each kid walked their own separate ways. She stood in the same spot until she saw her friend disappear into his house. With a frown on her face, she turned and began to walk home. She finally made it home a half an hour later, walking into an empty house yet again.

She blew a sigh out of her nose and went to the back door, walking out of the silent home and going into the woods in her backyard. She pulled her hood over her head and stared down at the ground, not taking notice of the rain that was beginning to fall from the sky.

She also didn't track the time she had been out in the woods, it felt like only minutes but she had been walking for hours. She looked up at the sky, ignoring the rain that pelted her face as she noticed the darkening sky. She let out a huff and continued walking, trying to ignore the feeling of the stare on the back of her head.

After about ten minutes of walking, she stopped. "Whoever that is, stop watching me and show yourself!" she yelled out, staying still until she heard a deep growl from behind her. She whipped around, staring at the large animal that had made the noise. A large silver-grey wolf stood before her, its head raised in a dominant stance. Its yellow eyes scanned the girl, as if trying to tell if she could be threat. After having a stare down that lasted for about five minutes, the wolf let out yet another warning growl, crouching down as if it was going to pounce.

The girl didn't take any chances, so she turned around and ran like her life depended on it. And in this case, it did. She only avoided the wolf for a few moments before it caught up to her, pinning her to ground. She let out a small whimper and closed her eyes tightly, just waiting for the fatal bite the wolf was prepared to send her way. A sharp pain cut across her cheek before the weight that was once on her lifted. She opened her eyes, seeing the silver wolf being pinned to the ground by a pure white one. The two fought, leaving the girl on the ground with four deep claw marks across her left cheek. She slowly stood up as the fight was finished, the silver wolf quickly disappearing into the underbrush. She stared at the white wolf with wide eyes, not before noticing the light foaming from around the corners of the wolf's mouth.

'Its rabid.' The girl thought, quickly turning away and running. Tears began to prick the corners of her eyes as she ran, listening to the thundering sounds of the wolf's paws chasing behind her. She stopped when she reached the edge of a drop off, staring down at the ground below. It took only seconds.

The rabid wolf ran up behind her, biting her calf. Then it pushed. They both fell. She let out a blood curdling scream at the feeling of her leg being ripped by the wolf. Then they hit the ground, yet another scream left the girls mouth. The feeling of all her bones snapping and the blood dripping out of her slowly began to fade as black dots began to dance around vision. Then, she was gone.
