Have you ever thought that work just wasn't enough? And that you can be or bring so much more to your homeland? Adalyn thought she could, thus is why she is standing right here. In front of the King himself, his salt and pepper hair swished slightly in the summer breeze and his deep blue eyes held a since of knowledge that made her curious. She knew he was assembling a team for his son Prince Noctis, he was soon to be in reign of the kingdom in due time and a bunch of old men were not going to be around forever. Adalyn Slade was highly knowledgeable in magic and summoning that it had impressed King Regis and his own sage. Adalyn's rose gold hair was done neatly into a ponytail of curls on top of her head, her medium-light purple eyes stared at his own as if a silent conversation was going on.
"Ah, Noctis." King Regis spoke as he shifted in his seat to look behind her. "Meet your Lady Sage."
"A new friend?" A pale skinned boy with messy blonde hair chirped as he and three others walked past her. "Cool!"
"Prompto, quite rude when in front of his majesty the king." A dirty blonde hair man with glasses scolded, his arms crossed as his facial features remained neutral and on the other man.
Noctis Caelum is a quiet man, prince of this kingdom, with his fathers deep blue eyes and dark bluish black hair. He didn't seem much like a prince but she has met him a few times before with Lady Lunafreya, the woman was her best friend when she as in town and always had fun things to do. Then there was Gladiolus Amicitia, the shield for the prince, with is spiky slicked back dark brown hair with shaved sides. He seemed like a tool to me, the type of guy that'll bounce from girl to girl and doesn't think about it at all. But those amber eyes are quite attractive, she wouldn't mind getting lost in them and never being found. Prompto Argentum, the joker and photographer of the four. Unruly blonde with pretty blue eyes, and his always positive attitude had put my serious mood into positive happy mood. His smile was infectious which seemed to be a good addition to their four man team. And then there is Ignis Scientia, the group's personal chef, driver and adviser. Green eyes behind stylish glasses only seemed to make him look even more intelligent, his dark blonde hair looked soft enough for a baby chocobo to sleep on.
She snorted lightly at the thought of a baby chocobo poking its head out, catching herself she covered her mouth to try to hide the grin. Prompto began to laugh at her little snort making her rather uncomfortable of it. Straightening her pale blue dress as if there was a wrinkle she looked back at King Regis looking rather amused by whatever silent amusement happened.
"My Lady Sage?" Noctis looked me over for a moment before shrugging.
"My Sage won't be around forever. Miss Slade was the top of all the tests I ran." King Regis stood as he used his hand to point in her direction. "She is also a good friend of Lady Lunafreya."
Getting along with the four was a bit hard the first few weeks, she would end up being alone for hours when making rounds and learning roles. She got along well with them separately; trained with all at different times of week, Gladiolus would work on better defense moves and how to use her katana more effectively, Prompto showed her what he thought was funny things and how to take pretty cool pictures. Noctis was pretty good at fishing, taught her how to cast a line and bring in the fish. Ignis and herself would prep meals together for everyone. But the one thing they all got in common was they wouldn't open up to her.
