The Deltas are essential to the pack. They act as mediators/healers (eg. helping to resolve disagreements, creating medicine to heal wolves), messengers (taking messages between pack members or between packs) and counsellors (helping pack members with any troubles they might have). Deltas, if given permission by the Alphas, may also greet newcomers on the borders should things get too hectic for the Alphas and Betas. Being a Delta is a lot of work, but it's also a lot of fun. Deltas love to start group howls and play when they're not working. Deltas have a job to help newcomers feel at home in their new pack. Deltas can mate with other Deltas, Betas, Zetas and Gammas if given permission.
