Not The Only One

Chapter 1

"Taehyung, wait up!"

There was a little girl playing on a neighborhood playground. She was on the swing set, laughing with joy, as she watched the cars drive by on the road in front of her. Then the little girl saw her friend on the other side of the street. The little girl smiled. "Casandra! Casandra! come play with me!" Casandra saw her and smiled. "I'm coming!". Casandra started crossing the street. They were so excited to play with each other that they forgot about the cars passing. Then there was a roar of an engine, the shattering of glass, and it became quiet and still. The only thing that remained was Casandra's broken body. The little girl's laughter turned into sobs. She started to run to her friend's body, but she never got there. Casandra was coming at her. She woke in a hospital room and never remembered.

It was Cleo, a girl that was always late because she took FOREVER to get ready. "What took you so long? You're never late!" Taehyung said, smirking. "Ohh, be quiet," Cleo said, reddening as Taehyung laughed. The two friends set off to school.  

"So Cleo, have you studied for Mrs. Lee's math test?"

"Of course not! I have no time because I have to go get my nails done and go to the mall!"

Taehyung was still laughing at Cleo as they entered the class. Taehyung sat beside Jimin. "Where were you yesterday, Noona?" 

"I was at the doctor for an appointment."

Jimin pouted. "I missed my seat partner. Oh! Mrs. Lee assigned us partners so we can study for the test together." 

Taehyung smiled. "Thanks for letting me know, Jimin."

Cleo took a look at them.

"I wish Jimin was in another class," she thought.

She went to sit with her seat partner, Hae Yung, who she knew would be her partner.

When lunch arrived, Taehyng sat down at her usual table with Cleo, but this time Jimin sat with her. "Oh hey, Jimin." 

Cleo stood up abruptly. "Not today, Tae-g. I'm sitting with Hae Yung's group." She strutted off. Taehyung sighed. "I don't know what's wrong with Cleo today! She is being moody as hell!"

Jimin shifted uncomfortably "I think it's because im sitting with you. Maybe I should leave."

"Oh no! Don't leave! Its okay, Cleo will calm down," exclaimed Taehyung. She didn't want him to feel bad, and she didn't want to sit by herself either. 

Jimin nodded. "Okay. So, when are we studying today?"

"Well, I have work at 4:00 pm to 6: 00 pm, so I think 7:00 will work at my house."

"Are you sure it's okay at your house?"

Taehyung smiled. "Yes. At my house. I can bring dinner from my restaurant."

"Then it's a deal," said Jimin as they headed to their next class.
