(Tails POV)

"How could you fucking betray me like that! I gave you a roof over your head and a workshop and you turn around and betray me!" Sonic screams at me and I'm cowering in fear because he has never gotten like this with me, never in the time he has known me.
"What else was I supposed to do? Let him die?" I question quietly, and scared.
"Yes!" Sonic screams again. I bet you were wondering what this is all about. well Sonic and Shadow are rivals and have been fighting more then there is me here in the middle. I took it upon myself to help them both and now you see Sonic's reaction.
"You never would have said that before Sonic. Ever Since Eggman died, you have been acting so different." I say shaking in fear as Sonic growls at me. Then not but two seconds later Shadow the Hedgehog walks in and looks at Sonic.
"Leave him the fuck alone faker!" Shadow says getting between me and Sonic.
"What are you doing here!?" Sonic is still irate. "I came to ask if you wanted to race but, fuck that, you are being a real asshole to Tails, for what? Keeping us both alive?" Shadow questions and Sonic grabs him and they start fighting and I get between them and Shadow stops but Sonic hits me.
"Get the fuck out of my way!" Sonic shouts at me and Shadow grabs Sonic by the throat.
"You ever, and I mean ever, lay hands on Tails again then you won't be running ever again." Shadow threatens and sonic growls and kicks shadow then runs off. Hopefully to cool down.
"You okay Tails?" Shadow asks as he helps me up. I know what you all are thinking; 'Shadow is being nice!?' or 'What happened to Shadow and Sonic, did they switch personalities?!' and I honestly don't know but I do know that Shadow is his same old self, just kind to me because I have saved him from bleeding out many times.
"I'm fine Shads. Thanks for helping me." I say as a bruise forms on my cheek where Sonic punched me.
"I hate to be rude Shadow but, I wanna go for a walk to relax. I'm still kinda shaking." I explain and Shadow nods with a smirk/small smile, it is hard to tell which. I put my shoes on and grab my jacket, we all had to start wearing clothes because we got fined for public indecency, I personally don't mind at all, I feel more comfortable with clothes on. I exit the house and start walking and I see Amy and walk up to her smiling.
"Tails! Who hit you!?" She questions examining the bruise on my cheek.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." I say and she shakes her head to say she will.
"It was Sonic." I say and she goes wide eyed.
"Why did he hit you?!" She asks and I fiddle my thumbs.
"Because I have been helping both him and Shadow after they get done fighting so neither of them dies." I explain and her jaw drops.
"You were just doing the right thing. Sonic had no good reason to hit you." Amy says and I smile only vaguely.
"Feel free to stay with me if you want Tails, so you don't have to live in fear of being hit by sonic." She says and hugs me.
"Now, I must be off. Blaze is waiting for me at Emerald Park." Amy says then runs off and I keep walking slowly calming down.

So, Sonic hit tails. It isn't very heroic to hit your friends in my opinion. My robotic eye glows vaguely and I scan the area. "He ran to Rouge's house. That is just like him to run." I say to myself quietly.
