Dirty Little Secret (Shails)

Chapter 5

(3rd person POV)

Once morning came Tails woke up laying on the couch, controllers in front of him,  Shadow no where in sight. Tails begins to panic and whimpers in fear of being alone. he yells out for Shadow. Shadow runs to his aide, wearing only a towel, he had been taking a shower. Tails clung to him, he smelled lavender on Shadow's quills, it was odd to tails. he didn't mind though, he clung to the male he trusted so much, Shadow pets Tails' head and hums to him until tails finally calms down

"S-sorry for freaking out Shadow. I didn't know you were in the shower." Tails says looking away a bit.

"Don't worry about it Miles, but, just remember I will never ever leave you, I'm going to protect you forever." Shadow whispers calmly into Tails' ear, Tails smiles a little and nods against Shadow's soft chest. 

Tails lets Shadow go finally and shadow pets Tails a little bit more, both blushing faintly. Shadow goes back towards the  bathroom, Tails didn't freak out, he just started playing video games while Shadow finishes his shower, soon Shadow comes out of the bathroom dressed.

"What would you like for breakfast shorty?" Shadow asks with a small teasing insult. Tails puffs up his cheeks at shadow to show his irritation at the nickname.

"Waffles butt-head." Tails huffs and keeps playing the game, he was actually doing really well in the difficult game, he had a really good focus on the game. Tails loved to play video games, many people could consider him a gamer, usually always has his headphones on his head at all times. Shadow didn't mind, it let him stare a little before he goes off to start cooking waffles for the kitsune in the other room, Shadow hums while cooking his mind on Tails the whole time, Shadow slowly realizes he is obsessed with Tails to an unhealthy point and he loved it.

"Tails! food is almost ready!" Shadow shouts to tails to get him to come in for food, Shadow smiles contently, he hoped Tails felt the same way but was too scared to admit he liked him. He would admit it when the time came though, hopefully he wouldn't wimp out or stutter too much. Tails walks in soon after with a smile and he goes to the table, sitting down.

"Did you sleep well Miles?" Shadow asks with a gentle smiles, Tails just nods seeming to be in his thoughts at the moment. Shadow puts waffles in front of him, they were fully prepared. syrup, butter, chocolate chips. Tails saw them and kinda drooled before beginning to eat them.

They ate breakfast in peace, calmness filled the house, it was comfortable right now. Tails went back into his thoughts and Shadow just kinda checks Tails out for a bit before beginning to clean up after breakfast. Shadow checks outside and smiles at the beautiful day and walks back in. he looks at Tails who is still in thought and kinda mumbling to himself. Shadow goes to the fridge and gets a beer.

"What's on your mind Miles?" Shadow asks while taking a drink, Tails looks at him and shakes his head.

"Just, life." Tails responds with a hum, he had thoughts in his head mainly about Shadow and how Sonic was abusing Tails. He shivers at that thought, Shadow hugs him thinking he is cold. Tails smiles happily and leans into Shadow, he felt safe with Shadow. Tails knew he loved shadow but just didn't know how to tell him. Then he got an Idea and smiles. he would have to get a hold of certain friends who could help him with his plan on how to tell him.

"I'm gonna go to the store Tails, I'll be back later. If you're cold then curl up in the blankets." Shadow smiles and Tails giggles.

"Thanks shads see you later." Tails says and Shadow puts on his leather jacket and leaves. Tails instantly goes to Shadow's room and gets on his phone and calls Amy and tells her about the plan and she agrees, then he calls Rogue whom also agrees. Finally he calls Cream and tells her the plan who gives little tips on decorative things and Tails smiles and talks to Cream for a while. They get off the phone just as Shadow gets home and he comes out of the room to greet Shadow who had A LOT of groceries.

"I'd love to chat Miles, but, can you help me put these up?" Shadow asks and Tails nods and starts helping him, his jeans slightly restricting his tails but he still flies up to help put things on the higher shelves. Tails smiles at Shadow who kept tossing him things to put on the higher shelves.  Once they were done Tails goes to the couch and lays down. Shadow sitting at his feet.

"Tails, you're short." Shadow teases and Tails huffs at him.

"Shush, oh and I got a surprise for you tomorrow." Tails coos and Shadow smiles and nods at him. Tails smiles back and closes his eyes slowly not realizing it but falling asleep.

forgot to mention that they all wear clothes. I make it like this for story reasons later on so don't judge. and sorry for how long it took me to write this, I'm making it up as I go so don't judge me please. Death OUT!
