"Alright. I'm heading off to the hospital. Seya later." "Good luck." Mum called as I walked out the door.
I drove to the hospital and parked. I then made my way to reception.
"Hey, I'm here for a scan." "Name?" "Caroline HOlland." "Up two floors, straight down the corrider and to the right the waiting room will be." "Thank you."
I followed her directions and made my way to the waiting room. Once I got there i sat down. There were some others waiting.
"First time?" I turned to see a lady in her probably thirtys. "Yea. You?" "No. This is my third." "Congratulations." I smiled. "Thank you." We stayed silent. "Nervous?" "A little." I nodded. "You'll be fine. I was the same on my first. But once you here the heartbeat you relax." I smiled at her. "I'm Gen." "caroline." I excepted her outstretched hand. "Gen Padalecki." "That's me. Bye." "Bye. Good luck."
She walked into the room. I read a magazine while I waited. Soon Gen came back out smiling. "All good?" I asked. "Yea." "Caroline Holland." "I've got to go." "Good luck." "Thanks."
I walked into the room and the nurse shut the door behind me. "Hello Caroline, you will be easy to remember because my name is also caroline. I will be with you every step of the way." I nodded. "Now. Lie on the bed with your top up please." I did as told and soon felt something cold making me jump. "First time?" I nodded. "You'll be fine. It'll be cold for the first few seconds but then it will be normal." I watched as she moved the wand around my stomach and soon heard a heartbeat, "There's the heartbeat. Your baby is perfectly healthy. it is early to tell the gender but all is going well." She smiled. "Thank god." She wiped the gel off me and allowed me to sit up. She then handed me the ultra scan. "There you go. I'll see you in three weeks." "Seya then." I smiled.
I walked out to see Gen still sitting. She smiled and stood up when she seen me coming out. "I decided to wait to see how you got on." She smiled. "Well I got on great thanks." "Whe nyou due back." "Three weeks." "Oh, well then I will seya then. I'm due then too." We laughed. "Here, I'll give you my number and we can hang out some time." "Thanks. Here's mine." She smiled and we said goodbye.
I made my way to the town before heading home and talked to ma and da about everything that nurse Caroline said.
