Richelle's Story - After The Injury

4. Back to Basics

The troupe had had a lovely break for the summer and now it was time to get back to the old dance life, the new dance season was beginning. Richelle had rested her hip a lot, and it was obvious it had done her good. She was moving around better, she wasn't as stiff as she was last rehearsal. Michelle and Emily were so happy that she'd done what the doctors had asked of her and stayed off it.

Rehearsal had begun and Richelle was enjoying it more and she looked a lot better than she did. Emily led ballet class and were just going over some of the beginning moves while Michelle was in the office trying to get hold of the regionals board to try and sign the team up for the next regional competition. "Okay, that's the end of rehearsal today guys! You did fantastic today for the first day back, keep up the good work and see you all here at 9:00am sharp tomorrow morning, Richelle, could I please see you for a moment?" Emily exclaimed, surprisingly kindly. Just at that moment, Michelle frantically walked into the studio with a huge, beaming smile on her face. "I have an announcement!" The atmosphere died down quickly. "Good news guys! I've managed to sign us up for regionals! This means that we have automatically been sent through to the competition, but if our qualifying video isn't good enough, we will be eliminated and forced to leave!" Michelle excitedly claimed. The whole team were really excited and started cheering for Michelle!
