There are many more nights than there are days
It's forever so dark without the shining sun
From 6 am to midnight, it's only dark
The sun is there but it ignores me
Time to time I get a fresh sight of sunlight but then it turns away
Leaving me with my thoughts and sorrows
Once there was a time where it shined all day from beginning to end
Even as the clock struck midnight, it was shining
I woke to see the beautiful light of the sun but only saw it setting
Then the darkness began to roll over my sun
I looked down and my tears fell
Then looked back at the darkness and asked one question
Why did she leave?
