We are all settled in the living room watching a movie. We agreed on watching 'How the Grinch stole Christmas' because Christmas is 3 weeks away! I completely forgot because of all the problems! Amanda says it is a classic but I have never heard of it. We begin to watch.

"Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before," says the Narrator.

We eat popcorn and sip on our sodas. I begin to doze off.

"Give me what I want, and I won't hurt you."

"NO! You're not my-"

BANG!

"NO!" I yell.

I look at my surroundings. 'Just my room. Oh, just a bad dream.'

"You OK?" Lola comes dashing into the room.

"Ya, I'm fine. Just a nightmare." I answer.

"Ok. Do you want me to stay here?" She says.

"You can if you want."

"What was your dream?" She asks.

"This burglar was in our house and he told me to give him my phone, and the money inside. I said no and he shot me." I say as tears begin to fall from my eyes.

"Seriously?" She says, "That is the same dream I had a couple of minutes ago! I have been up just reading?" She exclaims.

"Do you think it means something?" I ask.

"I don't know. Now I'm scared!" She says.

"You can't be scared! You're suppose to help me feel better!" I argue.

"I know. I'll try." She says.

She gets under my covers and we fall asleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"GET UP! GET UP! WE HAVE TO DECORATE FOR CHRISTMAS!!" Derek jumps onto my bed.
"Ugh, leave me alone." I groan.
"If you don't get up in 3 seconds, I won't give you back your phone." He threatens.
"I have my phone, it's right-" I stop and look under my bed.
"DEREK!" I dash after him and find the phone laying at the bottom of the staircase.
I trudge back up the stairs and fall backwards into my bed again. 5 minutes later, Derek is pulling the covers off of me yet again. "COME ON, COME ON!!!" He
Screams.
"FINE!" I shout back.
I get out of bed and walk down the stairs for the 3rd time in 10 minutes and walk into the living room. The tree was already up but it was bare.
"Good morning sleepyhead," Lola says.
"Good morning to you too," I reply as I roll my eyes.
"Hey, there is Hot Chocolate and cookies on the table. After you're done, you can come and help decorate," She informs.
"OK, but who has cookies for breakfast?" I ask.
"We do! Duh!" She answers.
I make my way over to the table and grab a cup of Hot Chocolate and a cookie. I take a bite.
"Mmmm, gingersnap!" I say.
I devour my breakfast and walk over to Lola and Amanda.
"You have crumbs all over your face." She tells me.
"Shut up!" I say embarrassed.
"Whatever, the lights are over there, let's put them on the tree." She tells me.
I find the lights and hand them to Lola. She takes them out of the box and hands it back to me.
"Don't be lazy, you are here to work!" She orders.
I roll my eyes and wrap the lights around the tree. Amanda flicks the switch and they turn on.
"Pretty!" I say.
She turns them off and brings out a huge box of ornaments.
"Ok, I have more than 100 ornaments in the box, but this year, you guys choose," She says.
I remudge through the box and find an ornament that has a candy cane on it. I place it near the bottom and look through the box some more. By the time is is lunchtime, we have the garlands, the tree, the stocking, the wreaths and the glitter all ready.
"Woo-Hooo," We shout.
"We did it!" I say.
I pull out my phone and take a picture.
"Magnificent!" I say.
