I sighed as I watched Ashton go on his 'errand'. I told him to go make some friends basically. I had to explain to him what a friend was, that was a little bit of a drawback, but oh well.

I chewed on the inside of my cheek as I went over a few blueprints. I decided to keep remaking them over and over. I wanted this one to be perfect. Subject D will not fail.

I flipped my notebook over to the other side and scribbled notes. After an hour or so of preparation I finally began putting all the pieces together. I didn't have as much scrap metal as I planned to have at this point.

I wasted so much by getting so far in the other subjects and failing, wasting all the material. I decided I should deduct the amount of metal at the area that has the least intricacy. So, naturally, the legs.

I sighed, not in frustration, but in relief. I was almost happy to be able to work with a specimen that was... closer to my level (hahah he's short). I rolled my shoulders and started on the skeleton.

It was looking pretty nice so far, so I decided to take a break and a walk. I threw on my overcoat and top hat, snatching my cane from besides the door. I thought about visiting The Morserf Clock Tower again, not because I needed anything else, but because I just wanted to thank them for being so kind.

I decided, what the heck, might as well be a little polite. I shuffled my way over. I looked at the door, feeling intimidated by it. I always was every time I found myself here, I don't know why.

I sighed and knocked on the door, stepping back for when it swung open. It opened a few seconds later, but not by who I expected.

"Oh! Mr. Hartman! What can I do for you?"

I blinked, composing myself. "Mr. Morserf, good day. I was wondering if Brianna or Carrie is home."

He chuckled and nodded. "Yes, indeed. But They are a bit occupied with a tutor at the moment."
"Tutor? You found a tutor? I have heard you were having trouble with that." I scratched my neck.

"Yes. I considered asking you to help multiple times, but decided you were too busy with your own work. A few days ago a woman just appeared and offered her services in exchange for a room here. I'd say that's a pretty fair trade." He explained, stepping aside and ushering me in with his hand.

I looked up at him. "That seems slightly peculiar, doesn't it?"

Mr. Morserf laughed. "Of course! But I like to think of the situation as a brilliant stroke of luck. Would you like some tea, Shawn?"

I hummed, thinking to myself. I hadn't eaten in quite a while and all the pain hit me at once. I guess I was too distracted with my project to notice. I nodded. "Yes, please."
