Perfect

Sitting across from each other in the living room of the cabin, in which we have been staying for the last couple of days. We stare at one another. It's snowing outside and we just had a snowball fight, so all of us are warming up next to the fireplace.  He smiles at me and says: "Why don't you come sit next to me? I'm sure you are freezing." I laugh and walk over to him while our friends laugh along.

"We sure got you good didn't we, Zoey?" Jamie says, he is the boyfriend of my best friend Julie.

"Ah don't bully her about it would ya!" Julie yelled from the kitchen. I smiled and cuddled into Ed, causing one of the other girls, Sarah, to coo us. We were with a group of 8, 4 guys and 4 girls. All the guys brought their girlfriends except Ed, he didn't have a girl at the moment which meant I was able to join them.

"You two are so adorable." Sarah said loudly.

"We all know it Sarah, no need to point it out again." Julie said walking in with a tray of hot chocolate milk.

"Oh, we all know it alright! What about them?" Sarah's boyfriend, Jack said. I looked at Jack and put out my tongue and he repeated the action. 

"Okay okay guys, that's enough." Jamie called. "Let's play a game?"

"Oh which one babe?" Julie asked interested now.

"Truth or dare?" He suggested. I just looked at Ed rolling my eyes. Every time we get together with a group of people Jamie wanted to play that game. Ed being Jamies best friend understood what I meant and stifled a laugh putting his face on my shoulder. But as usual, we all agreed to play the game. 

"Okay, I'll go first then." Arthur, the football player, says. He turns to his girlfriend, Sydney, of 4 years and asks: "Truth or dare babe?" 

"I'll start with a truth." And so the game began. We always started out slow, with easy answers and easy dares that could be done on the couch. Then we started to progress to more dangerous waters.

"Why did you break-up with Ally?" Johnny asks Ed, after a while of thinking and debating with Casper, his boyfriend, about a Truth question. Everyone goes quiet. This was a touchy subject, Ed broke-up with his girlfriend of 2 years about two weeks ago. That was also partially the reason why we were in this cabin in the first place. The guys wanted to do something fun with him, not because he was sad. But because he was happy. They all thought he was crazy seeing Ally was a beauty, either that or he was hiding that he was, in fact, feeling miserable. I didn't get why he should feel sad about their break-up. Ally was horrible to him, she humiliated him for wanting to wait with sex. She kept trying to make him jealous by standing very close to other guys, and I could go on forever. But I hadn't seen him this happy in years.

"Because I realized, she was not the right girl for me." he says softly looking down at his lap, where at the moment my legs lie. I feel him start drawing patterns on my leg and smile a bit putting my head in the crook of his neck. I had shouted that at him in his own house before storming out, about a day or two before he broke-up with her. He deserves way better than her. "Alright next!" He said, not stopping with drawing on my leg. Some part of me wanted for him to never stop. 

I had been having a crush on him about three years ago when he stopped a guy from dropping me in the lake, in the winter. He was so sweet to me that day, I don't know how but after that day I just saw him in a different light. 

I might have been drifting off to sleep when I was awoken by Ed tapping my leg softly. I looked up and saw everyone looking at me. 

"What?" I ask frowning.

"They dared me.." Ed hesitated, looking at me shyly. 

"We dared him to kiss you!" Sarah yelled. My eyes grew wide and I looked at Julie who looked at me with concern. My mouth opened and closed like a fish on land.

"If she doesn't want to do it, she doesn't have to." Ed says sternly "You will just have to come up with something different for me to do." Sarah looked at Ed with a pout and was about to protest when I finally found my words again.

"No, it's fine Ed." I said blushing when he looked at me "I'll do it." I heard Sarah giggling like a little girl, but I just looked at Ed who gave me a look that asked me if I was sure about it. I just nodded with a small smile. I moved so that I could face him. We looked each other in the eye and moved in...

I am so sorry I haven't posted anything for the past, well, half year or even more. I have been so busy with school and work and well everthing in my life. You might have noticed (if you follow me ofcourse) that I do still read on Wattpad so don't worry. I keep having ideas but I forget them so I have invested in a notebook for ideas. So in the future I hope to have more stories!!!
