The Aether tribe was literally solid life essence. They controlled life, they created life, bent it and could destroy it all. Once the other tribes realized this they began to live in fear. They united for the sake of destroying the Aether.
What they didn't know was that destroying the Aether tribe would destroy life, for they were life.
The Aether had no plane, no home, so they took a piece of land that everyone owned and that became their plane.
Stealing land was an offense of the highest order, they had started war.
