Its graduation day. The last day I could ever see Nayoung again.
As always, we've never talked ever since then. I am sure this is for the better. There is no need for me to reopen her old wounds.
She has been dating Park Jimin, and I'n happy for her. I've not been dating. Why? I'm a coward now. I hurt girls too easily back then. If I start a new relationship, I'd probably hurt a girl again. But I know I'll try again someday.
Just not now.
We're all wearing our graduation gowns, taking photos. After I took some photos with my family and friends. I went to find her. Just one last conversation.
She was sitting in the classroom, all alone.
"Hey Nayoung."
She looked up.
"Just stay there please. I wanna talk just before we never see each other again." She nodded. So I approached her and sat at the seat beside her.
"For whatever I've done, I'm sorry. I know an apology would never help but I'm really sincere, and I just want you to know that Nayoung."
"I do know Seokjin, I've actually forgiven you a long time ago."
I smiled. "Thank you."
"You know, I couldn't get over you for the longest. I still had some leftover feelings from you ever since we went to the amusement park. But I'm proud of myself Seokjin. How I broke the barrier down and barely got over you. You may think differently, but I'm happy I got over you."
"Thats great Nayoung. I'm also happy that you're happier nowadays. And that there is a boy who would always be there for you. Doing things I can't."
She took her phone, "Lets take one last selfie."
I nodded. We both smiled as the selfie was taken.
"I'll send it to you."
"No, you keep it, I'm afraid I'd keep thinking of you after this..." I stood up.
"Good luck for you future." I put my hand out.
She took it and we shook hands. "You too."
I then walked away. Walked away from who could be my potential love if I was a better person. If only.
Tears dropped down my eyes. "I'm gonna miss you Nayoung."
