2. When Extremists Get Involved

EXTREMISTS RUIN EVERY GOOD CAUSE OUT THERE. It's like some people are just BORN to be extreme in whatever they believe. Whether it's religion, or recycling, extremeists just like to take it so far that no one wants to pay attention anymore. A great example of this is a certain group of animal rights activists called PETA. It has an enormous worlwide following, half of which have no idea what they are associating themselves with. For those who don't know, animal RIGHTS is defined as giving animals the same civil rights as humans. That means that humans should not be allowed to use animals for food, research, or even companionship. That is ridiculous to me on its own, but that's a story for another day. What makes me mad is that PETA also gets behind legitimate animal welfare causes, ruining everything. PETA is like the friend that comes out of nowhere that always takes things too far. Like you lightly punch your friend in the arm as a gesture of affection and he breaks your nose in response. While reasonable animal welfare activists protest the unfair treatment of pigs in slaughterhouses, PETA members come by in swarms, protesting the whole EXISTENCE of the slaughterhouse, which causes the protests to be ridiculed. Slaughterhouses will always be in demand because humans are omnivores. That's how we work. Not to say you can't be a vegan/vegetatian, just don't expect everyone else to follow you down that path. Trying to shut down a whole slaughtehouse probably won't get you anywhere. All it does is take attention away from the real issue of animal abuse, since your definition of animal abuse is putting a LEASH on something. 

Besides PETA, another big one is the Radical Feminist Movement, or rad-fem. Rad-fems have pretty much DESTROYED feminism. Feminism used to be about giving equal civil rights to both sexes. Now, being a feminist means giving up shaving and accusing men of rape just because they hold eye contact for too long. Frankly, I find some rad-fem blogs hilarious. I can't believe these women are serious. One article I read was completely about how sex is rape, every single time. Even if the woman gives consent and thinks she wants it, she doesn't. What? Is it just me or does that not make ANY sense whatsoever? The rad-fem movement is transforming the meaning of feminist from gender equality, to the dehumanizing of the whole male gender. They scrutinize every word that comes out of a man's mouth and find some way to make what they say sexist, and accuse them of raping any girl they have ever had sex with. I would actually like to meet a rad-fem, just so I can figure out what went so wrong with them that they would believe that a normal biological occurence (that can make both parties feel awesome) is a violent act of RAPE every single time. Do you realize, rad-fems, that you have soiled the term feminist? A new word had to be invented just because of you. Now, if I believe that women should get equal pay as men in the corporate world, I have to call myself a humanist. 

Fuck extremists, ruining everything. All this aside, feel free to grow as much armpit hair as you want. Just don't be mean to people!
