I stared in shock as I walked around my house. When I had woken up, I found myself in a new room.

"I can't believe this," I muttered as I looked at the large living room. Everything in the house was so big. It didn't matter that I had lived in a castle for years, everything here was incredible. My hand raised to the necklace around my neck, causing me to look at it in wonder. "I can't believe it worked."

The night before, I had put a spell on my necklace, allowing me to keep my memories. When I looked through the memories in my head, I could see that I had not only kept my old memories, but I also had new ones. I realized that I knew how to use everything in the house and I knew what they were for.

Running upstairs, I changed my clothes, putting on a casual dress. I ran back downstairs and opened the front door. Fresh air filled my lungs, making me smile. I stepped onto the porch, looking around me. My house was located towards the end of the street, surrounded by other homes as well. Down the street, I could see different shops and stores.

My feet started to move before my mind could catch up; I wanted to check the town out and see if I recognized anyone. When I reached the bottom of my steps, I remembered something every important: my curse. I sighed sadly, but continued forward, wanting to test the limits of my new living space. Just as I was about to step outside the gate, I felt some kind of magic keeping me from leaving. Putting my hand forward, I could feel the invisible barrier.

"Well that's good to know," I muttered. "My boundary is my yard. That'll be fun."

I walked back to my porch, sitting down on the porch swing that was on the end. I watched as the town started to come alive, people moving around the town. A few waved hello to me as they walked or drove by. I was surprised by who I recognized, though I knew them by two names. Snow White became Mary Margaret, Red became Ruby, Leroy was Grumpy, and so forth.

"(y/n)!" My head shot up when I heard someone shout my name. I stood up when I saw Jiminy Cricket, or Archie Hopper, come walking towards me, his dog Pongo by his side. "Good morning, (y/n)! How are you this morning?"

"I'm quite well, Ji-Archie," I replied, catching myself before I said his fairytale name. I had met Jiminy back in the Enchanted Forest when he was young. He had been trying to pickpocket me for his parents, but I ended up giving him what money I had. He was a sweet boy, but wanted nothing to do with what he was doing. When I had heard what he was doing when he became a cricket, I couldn't have been more proud of him. "How are you and Pongo?"

"Oh, we're alright. Off to the office."

I nodded, somehow knowing that he worked as a psychiatrist.

"Well, I hope you have a good day, Archie. You too, Pongo."

"Same to you, (y/n)."

With a final smile, the man hurried away, making his way down the street. I watched him go, a sad smile on my face. I sighed, knowing that none of them remembered who they used to be.

"I hope this curse comes to an end," I whispered, walking back into my house.
