(Yukiko's POV)...............

Narukami-kun has been acting weird lately. He always seems to be a bit distant or in deep thought. It's gotten me kinda worried and I'm pretty sure that the others have noticed too. Currently we are sitting in the Junes food court.

"Thanks for the discount Yosuke. The steak is delicious!" said Chie as she scarfed down the large piece of meat. The brown haired boy sighed. "Yeah yeah. You always order the same old stake though. Honestly, I don't even feel like it's a discount anymore."

I looked towards my silver haired friend. He was looking down at the table and his eyes seemed.........glossed or ghosted with something. "Narukami-kun? Is everything okay?"

He didn't respond. "Narukami-kun?" I said a little bit louder. His face snapped upwards and his eyes widened. He looked around trying to find the one calling his name. "Over here," I said as I tapped his shoulder. He then looked my direction.

"Oh! Sorry Yukiko. Did you have something to say?" I nodded. "You've been pretty distant lately. Is everything alright?" He then smiled and nodded his head. However, it looked pretty superficial.

"Yeah I'm fine......" "Partner, Yukiko is right. We don't know why you've been acting this way but we want to help. We're a team right?" said Yosuke-kun. At this point, everyone is focused on Narukami-kun.

Our leader looked down at the table. "C'mon senpai. If there's something that yer worried about then tell us," said Kanji-kun. "It's like Yosuke-senpai said. We're a team."

Narukami-kun was silent for a moment but then his face lit up with a genuine smile. "You guys are right. Sorry. I've been hiding this from you guys and it was wrong."

"It's alright partner."

"Now then, would you care to fill us in," I said.

Alucard Castle........(Lulu's POV)

I was enjoying quite the feast at Alucard castle. Ragna, Noel and I were seated in a dining hall eating while Rachel watched and sipped her tea.

"By the way Miss Rachel....." I say after politely wiping my mouth with a napkin. "Hm?" she hums and looks my direction. I pointed at the roundish red creature flying next to her and large black cat sitting beside her. "Are those your pets?"

"These two are my familiars. The black feline is Nago. The bat that is currently flying beside me is Gii," she said gesturing to them with an elegant flick of her wrists.

"Ahhh they're familiars. I see," I said nodding. Ragna swallowed the dumpling he was chewing and addressed me. "Those two take care of the rabbit's tasks. They also fight with her."

.............huh?

"Fight with her?" I looked back at the pigtailed blonde female. "Your a fighter!?"

That's when I realized...................

'What the hell Lulu!? That was so rude!' I thought. "I-I mean! Not that I don't believe it.....I-I just...it seems like it's below your station....m-milady."

Noel giggled at my stuttering. "Don't laugh. You'd do the same thing Noel," said Ragna. To that, she stuttered out a response as she tried to argue his point, which caused the male to smirk and chuckle.

Rachel on the other hand was....smiling at me. "You needn't be so nervous child. Worry doesn't suit you." Her response elicited a shy giggle from me as I scratched my cheek and looked away.

"Yes. I am a 'fighter.' Though I do not particularly associate that word with my actions. I am a mage."

'A mage?.....Rachel is a mage?' "Wow....really?"

Noel nodded her head and said, "Yes. Miss Rachel has very strong magic! She can control the wind and lightning. She also uses her familiars to attack as well!"

'Whoa........' I look at Rachel in awe. 'She's incredible......' The mage gave a small laugh as she witnessed my astounded expression. 'Wait......so does that mean that......' "Do you fight too Noel?"

The emerald eyed girl giggled. "Yes I do. I fight with my guns; Bolverk." "Bolverk?" Noel stood up and pulled out her twin guns. They were large and silver.

.........my jaw dropped......

"Wow......If only I had a weapon." "Hey.....don't worry about it. It's amazing that you have such a powerful drive," said Ragna with a smile. "Well...I guess. Thanks Ragna." The sword wielder chuckled.

Then another question popped into my head. "Wait.....does everyone have a drive in this 'possibility?'" "No not everyone," said Noel while she shook her head. "But the 3 of us do." Noel then gestured to herself. "My drive is called Chain Revolver. With it I can perform special chain attacks in quick succession with superb agility and speed."

"Wow.......I'd love to see that in action." The gunslinger giggled with a slight blush. I looked at Rachel. "My drive is Sylpheed. It lets me control the direction and power of the wind outside of my attacks, effectively allowing me to alter the flow of battle. Ragna's drive is Soul Eater. It boosts his vitality every time he lands specific attacks."

As I listened to the drives I began to continue to think about mine. 'Well....an EXS, Drive, Semblance.....what should I call it?'

Meanwhile at Junes...........(Yu's POV)

"And that's why I've been acting like this," I say as I try to gauge everyone's reaction. The eyes that were locked on me conveyed barely any form of emotion at all, which surprised me. 'I thought for sure at least Teddie would look worried,' I thought.

"I think I can say for all of us that we believe in ourselves," said Kanji. "Huh?" I replied. The others nodded. "This uncertainty that you've been feeling......we don't know what it means," said Chie. "But that doesn't mean we won't be ready for whatever lies ahead," said Rise. "Because well face it together, whatever it is."

'Right.......they're right....'

I smiled at my friends. Ever since the shadow disappeared with the yellow flash I felt troubled...like it was an omen for bad things to come. However, whatever comes.......

.........we will be ready.

Yu seems to think something is amiss. But his friends are ready to help him out and investigate. What could be making Yu feel this way?
