The next day............
I woke up slowly, a silent yawn leaving my body. I didn't experience the nightmare fortunately. Perhaps I didn't have enough energy to go through it again. After all, I cried myself to sleep.
I sat up and realized that Ragna was asleep by the foot of the bed. It seemed like he fell asleep watching me. I felt bad that he decided to keep an eye out for me all night.......but at the same time I was grateful.
'I guess I should let him sleep,' I thought as I got out of bed quietly as to not wake up Ragna. Once I was completely out of the bed, I gently covered Ragna in my blankets. I grinned when he hummed in content.
Slipping out of my room, I looked down the hall, hearing a sound. The door next to mine opened suddenly and out stepped the blonde persona user, Kanji. I smiled. He didn't seem to notice me.
"Morning Kanji."
"Huh? Oh Lulu. Mornin'. You doin' ok?" I assumed he meant yesterday after I saw father again. "Yeah. I think I'm fine. Thanks Kanji."
"It's no problem. I was just worried," he said while rubbing his head. "I mean, you looked so sad. But I'm glad your feeling better." I nodded. 'Conversations like this really calm me down,' I thought. With an invasion on the horizon, my thoughts were focused only on my nightmares and the safety of my friends.
I had to do everything in my power to make sure I wouldn't lose them.
"I am. I think I just.......realized something."
"Realized what?"
"That I was afraid. I afraid of my father and losing you all......." I remembered the conversation I had with Yu. "But then Yu taught me that it's okay to be afraid. What I have to do is make sure that nothing happens to you guys. To make sure my fears don't become real," I said with determination.
Kanji began laughing. "Hahaha! That's our senpai. Inspiring others to not give up."
I began to laugh along with him. Having laughter come out of my system felt quite good. "He was inspiring. And he was right. I've gotta protect everyone. I wouldn't want to lose people who are so important to me, like you Kanji."
