"Seriously Luke where are we going?"
"I'll tell you when we get there" She does not seem happy after that response. But we continue down the road, and I realize now that she is just staring out the window. So what I decided to do is turn on the radio..."I've been on the low, I've been takin my time
I feel like I'm out of my mind,
I feel like my life ain't mine,
I've been on the low, I've been takin my time
I feel like I'm out of my mind,
I feel like my life ain't mine,I don't want to be alive,
I don't want to b-"Olivia shuts off the radio. And I don't blame her, it reminds us both about what happened. "Do you want to talk about it Olivia?"
"No thank you"
"Okay if you ever do, please let me know". I take that time then to pull into a gas station and fill the car up, and as I get out I look to my phone"Honey please come home, me and your sister both miss you"
"Tell Savannah I love her please and I'll call soon."
And I turn off the phone.
We both head inside, Olivia goes to the bathroom and I browse the snacks, a tear falling down my face. I grab 2 Gatorades, a bag of chips, and some gum. "This will be it plus the gas please" I told the women at the register.
"Okay sounds good, and I noticed that you are upset is there anything you would like to get off your chest?"
"Actually kind of, me and my cousin are going away for a bit. I can tell my mom did not approve of it, and my sister misses me but I can't take my moms bullshit anymore."
"Oh honey, I'm sorry about that", she puts my items in the bag without asking for money or change. As I'm about to walk out the door Olivia comes walking out with red puffy eyes, and is completely different. We stop right by the car and stare at each other, and just break down together. I reach over and hug her as tight as I can, her head in the crook of my neck, her tears falling onto my shirt. Mine falling on hers, we do this until both of us are calmed down and ready to move on with our adventure. Both knowing exactly why we were crying, we continue on listening to the soft music coming out of the radio as the sun is slowly making its way down.
We get into a town at least a whole state over sense we left, and start searching for a hotel. We pull into this smaller building, probably about 4 floors, called Holiday Hotel. Which is the perfect time because it is about 3 weeks until Christmas, slowly but surely I'm getting ready and excited for Christmas. We pull in and it's only $85.00 USd a night, so we book a room on the top floor, room 437.
We get up into our room and there is 2 queen size beds, a desk, dresser and a huge tv. We also in the bathroom, which is huge by the way, we have a jacuzzi and a big bathtub also a shower. I walk back out into the main area with a dinning room and living room area, and there is a big balcony with some lounging chairs. "Wow this is magical for only $85.00" I state as I plop down on a big leather chair.
"Yeah it's really nice for the price, very spacious. I could live here if I had a choice."
We both relax and sit back in the chairs, and we both slowly drift off. We go to our rooms in the room and drift off.
