~Naski's POV~
We swam to a cave.. At least I think it was a cave... I don't know. But it was a good place to stop at. "So what did you bring me down here for?" My twin brother asked. "Well I think it is time to give you a history lesson." I said while resting on a rock.
I sat down my tail behind me. "Put your hands on mine, trust me" I said. "Last time I trusted you, turned me into a fish..." Natsu replied. "Lucy taught me this trick." I blurted out rolling my eyes. "Oh ok" Natsu said putting his hands on top of mine.
I took a deep breath. "Close your eyes" I said. When he did I felt him take a deep breath and relax. The water around us started to circle us I opened my eyes when everything stopped. I looked around everything was familiar, to familiar. "You can open your eyes." I told him. "Where are we? What happened to our tails?" He asked. I didn't answer I just guided him to the cells. There I was, in my 14 year old body.
"A-are we in your memories?" He asked with eyes the size of bowling balls. "Yep" I replied popping the 'p' "Shhh shh it is ok you will be fine." my past self said. My past self was holding a little girl and Sammy was in there as well.
"B-but because of m-me" she stumbled the words a bit. "Y-you are h-hurt." She cried even more if that was even possible. "no I am fine." My past self replied. "What happened?" Natsu asked. "Well her mother just got taken away to get sold and they where going to take her. But I would not let them take her, because I made a promise to her mother. "
Flashback
"Naski.." I heard.
"Hm?" I replied.
I turned to see the woman next to me. She was beat up and was tired. "I am going to be sold tomorrow I think." My eyes widened. "WHAT?!" I stood up about to punch the person next to me. "Yes I am afraid so I have seen the way you fight and I think you can save my daughter from the same fate I have." She told me with kind eyes. I was scared..... Even though I didn't admit it. "I can save both of you." I whispered loud enough for her to hear.
"No Naski, I know what my future is and I am going to accept it.. I just want something better for my daughter." I wanted to cry I have always been able to help others. Why I can't do the same thing here. "I promise I will take care of you daughter." I said with my bangs over my eyes. "That is what I wanted to here." She said with a warm comforting smile I started crying.
"And that day I kept my promise." I said turning my head back to the little girl in my past self arms. "I tried to save her mother but I couldn't I tried so hard but I never could. It has been hard to live with it." I said in a small and sad voice.
End of flashback
then my past self started to sing
Everyone in all the other cells started to clap. I started clapping to.. "I never forgot that song....." I said. "Why?" Natsu asked "Because it made her smile for the first time in a long time." I replied and it was just like magic.. she started smiling. "Thank you Naski." The little girl said to my past self. "You are welcome Layla" Then a guard came in "WHO WAS SINGING?!"
