Anonymous POV:

"It's more than weird. It's insane!"

His head turns toward the shout only to be met with the gaze a woman. He doesn't look away and neither does she. Finally, after several seconds, he breaks eye contact.

His mind is running.

Not running, racing.

He wants only the good ones. The good shadows. Harmless, free, happy-

He was clinically insane but only half-knew it.

She gets up to storm out, the other woman trailing behind and reaches an arm out.

"Even better reason to say no."

He could feel the tension, the anger and it filled his mind like a drug.

Being as smooth as possible, he sets a $5 on the table and walks out of the door, a careful distance from the one he wants.

The fear, the suspicion, the anxiousness in her eyes when she looked at him made him grin from ear to ear.

At the sight of her suddenly sprinting, he laughs and cackles while his own shadow laughs with him. She suddenly turns down a narrow street where he cannot follow. Immediately, his laughing stops, running through the ways he could get to her. His foot presses the gas and he flies around the building onto the street she turned onto and slows down when he sees her shaking to unlock her door.

Still, to frighten her even more, he creeps and her figure disappears behind the door.

His laughter, his hatred, his lingering smell of cigarettes is the only thing in that car as he drives by the door and turns around the corner.

The only thing on his mind is the look that was in her eyes.
