The weight on her shoulders were practically unbearable, the sudden loss of vision had frightened her.
"Get offa me!" Lucy screeched in such a manner, Natsu had even raised an eyebrow.
Lucy thrashed rapidly at the being riding on her shoulders.
She fell backwards, landing on Natsu, flinging her face in Natsu's direction, finding a familiar blue cat clawed into Natsu's hair.
"Oi! There ya are happy!" Natsu exclaimed a grin making its way to his face as he tried to yank him out of his rose coloured tresses.
Lucy stared at the cat with a new found hatred. It was only when Siegrain cleared his throat had Lucy recognized the position she was in, her back had been pushed against Natsu's rock hard chest, as one of his arms had prevented her from falling by clasping around her waist.
She had felt extremely uncomfortable and had to bite the inside of her cheeks to repress her blush.
It was only then had Erza sensed something between the two, this was clearly the boy Lucy had feelings for, yet why is she holding herself back?
With a large tug Natsu had finally unclasped The blue cat from his head which scurried off in record pace.
Natsu looked Jellal and Erza, then Siegrain and Ultear, the silence that filled the room was much too unsettling, he looked at his hand clamped around Lucy's waist.
"Oh." He released her from his hold, feeling quite embarrassed.
"My bad...I mean I'm sorry." Natsu corrected, this brought a small smile to Lucy's lips, she remembered, years ago when he had 'accidently' tripped her, a hairs breath away from stumbling into a tree.
"My bad. It was a accident" He whispered apologetically.
She had rubbed her head angrily glowering at him from the floor.
"You know, 'my bad' and 'I'm sorry' mean the same thing, unless your at a funeral. I swear one of these days your gonna send me to my funeral and apologize with 'it was a accident.' " she mumbled grouchily.
A chuckle escaped his throat.
"Okay, okay you've won, I'm sorry." He grinned holding his hands up in surrender before stretching his hand out, which she took with a forgiving nod.The memory was still fresh in her mind.
Erza studied Jellal's features for what might've been the thousandth time, the anger in his eyes had not gone unnoticed, it was obvious. He hated his brother.
She chuckled inwardly at Jellal's flared nostrils, No matter how many things this man managed to pull off, flared nostrils were not one of those things. He looked like a pouty 7 year old child who had missed his dessert. It was strange how she found it adorable in every way. She cupped the side of his cheeks, effectively snapping him out of his trance.
"A frown doesn't suit a face meant to smile." She spoke, releasing her hands from his face.
He froze for a moment, blushing at the slightest, taking her words in. Before snorting.
"You don't realize how extremely cheesy that sounded." He retorted, hiding his blush through a grin.
Siegrain watched furiously at their "cute little scene" unfold before him. He hated losing to his brother. It felt disgusting. Siegrain stepped forward locking lips with Ultear, yet Erza found it strange how his beady little eyes were trained elsewhere during there lip lock. A twisted feeling made its way into her gut. Her gut was never wrong.
Within minutes guests poured into the building, eventually losing sight of Jellal.
She looked around frantically, swinging her scarlet locks in the process.
A hand latched onto her bare shouler, the cold touch sent her flinching away.
"I'm sorry Miss Erza."
The familiar voice sent a shiver down her back.
"It's fine Siegrain." She spat cold heartedly, which did not go unnoticed, creating a deathly silence between the two.
"If you'll excuse me.." Erza faltered, quickly bowing before excusing herself.
A smirk played against his lips as his beady eyes trailing her gorgeous figure from behind.
"Erza Scarlet...What a beauty."
Ultear's eyes narrowed at the sight of Siegrain making contact with Erza. It felt unsettling watching him stare at her as she walked past him. Had she not been enough for him?
Infuriation, jealousy and hate were the only things currently on her mind.
Lucy paced around the kitchen, her heeled shoes clicking, perfectly fitting the nervous atmosphere that began to gather around her.
Dinner was too start in minutes, neither Jellal or Erza were in sight.
"Oh, Why a time like this?" Lucy muttered to no one in particular.
"Lucy?"
She flung her head towards the familiar voice.
"Jellal where have you been? Your late." Lucy spoke flatly. A laugh escaped Jellals throat as his hand reached for her head, giving her a playful tap.
"But I'm here now, ain't I? Isn't that all that matters?" He replied.
"I suppose so..now get out there and tell them dinners ready!" Lucy demanded, her patience long lost.
Jellal obeyed, Shooting a smile before exiting the kitchen.
Erza spotted a man peeking into the kitchen, a familiar man with rosy pink hair that was.
"Natsu?" She questioned, peeking into the kitchen as well, wanting to know what was captivating his attention.
Her eyes had caught Jellal, a smile on his face as he tapped Lucy's head.
She scrunched her eyebrows.
She knew they were just friends, but it had looked like more. A disgusting jealousy twisted itself in her stomach.
She watched in horror as Jellal walked towards the door she was currently peeking into, the urge to yank off her heeled shoes and make a break for it was strong.
It was only then the door opened, taking a step back, the door a hairs away from hitting her.
"Oh Erza? I've been looking for you." Jellal stated, grasping her hand and entwining her fingers with his own.
She remained silent.
He arched an eyebrow, sliding a hand down her cheek, reaching for her chin, tilting it upwards at the slightest, allowing a better look at her face.
Her eyes glistened with water, was she crying?
"Are..you okay?" Jellal questioned, worry framing his voice.
"Im perfectly fine, what'd make you say that?" She responded, her voice coming out quieter than she'd like it too.
"You can tell me."
"I don't know what your talking about."
"Yes. You do."
"And so?"
"I want to know. I want to help."
He dragged her into a nearby bedroom, as she attempted to pull away, his iron grip unabling her to do so.
Closing the door gently, and placing her onto the bed.
"I want to eat." She pouted standing once more.
He pushed her onto the bed, this time pinning her down.
"And I want to know."
She sent him a taunting glare.
"Feeling feisty, are we?" Jellal challenged, his lips inches away from her own.
"The correct term is hungry." She replied with wit.
A chuckle escaped his throat.
"You are feisty. I like that." He whispered, before placing his lips atop hers, which she could only comply too.
