I started to make my way through the alleyway when I saw something run across the path I was walking down. It looked like some sort of animal, I continued making my way down the path until I heard something moving behind me. I turned my head and saw some sort of dog panting. It started to hesitantly make its way towards me, I could see that it had a wound on its left hand side. The dog finally got to me, it was wearing a collar, it had its name and owners phone number on it. I pulled out my phone and dialled the number, it rang, no answer. I called the number again, no answer. I called for the last time, someone answered but didn't speak I just heard background noise and cars going past. I stood in the alleyway on the phone for about two minutes until I finally said, " I believe I found your dog." Then the person put the phone down. I was confused. I heard a scream behind me and I turned to find a woman crying at the other end of the alleyway, " My baby" she cried. I ran to her and she looked at me in a way that said she didn't want or need my help. I walked away. I went back into the alleyway to see if the dog was still there, it was but it was lay on the floor in a ball. It was crying. I picked it up and took it to a box that was near a bin. I put the dog in the box and picked the box up. I was walking to the end of the alleyway until I heard a voice behind me say, " I want my dog back, now! ", I turned on my heel and said " It has a really bad wound on its left hand side" . The owner laughed and said " That dog deserves everything it gets." I replied, " I beg your pardon, but what has this dog ever done to you?". The woman replied, " It ruined my life." I replied, " Why do you want it back then?" The woman said " It is all I have left." I handed the dog to the woman and turned out of the alleyway onto a street. There was yellow tape everywhere and a crowd of people. I tried to avoid it as much as I could, but it lured me in. I was shocked when I saw the scene....
