Cass felt as if the day is already over because so many things had happened in the morning, but it's just 3pm.
"One more period to go," Cass motivated herself. She can't wait to go home to chill and processed the morning over and over again.
The bell for the last period rang and Cass made her way to her locker to grab her books, but she remembered that it's Computer Science and she did not sign up for it, so it's a free period for her. She sighed a relax sigh, turned to head to the cafeteria, but unfortunately she bumped into Abigail. And she stupid sidekicks.
"Where are you going?" Abigail started, her voice a sneer.
Cass thought to play it cool but she's losing it. She had been chill when she dealed with Abigail for years, but now, it just seemed that Abigail is taking extra advantage of her being calm. So with the sassiest tone Cass could put up with she said, "Somewhere where bitches like the 3 of you wouldn't go right now."
At that, Abigail actually lost her usual resting bitch face. Instead she looked shocked. Cass felt proud of herself. Abigail probably didn't think that Cass would fight back.
That only lasted for a second, because right after that she recovered and said coldly, "Wow, little Cassie learned how to be sassy." She smiled and her two sidekicks giggled.
Cass swallowed and calmly she said, "Abigail, let's talk it out. Now, privately."
Abigail was silenced for a while then she gestured to her girls to walk away. Like a stupid boss.
"What is there to talk about, little Cassie?" she asked.
Cass stared right into her eyes and said, "If there isn't anything, you wouldn't have stayed right now with me." she replied and Abigail remained silent, so she continued, "I know you're anonyjuocicles Abigail."
At that, she arched her eyebrows, "Okay so? What proof do you even have?"
Cass replied, "I have no solid proof yet, but we know it's you Abigail, even Jackson says that."
This time, Abigail seemed to really have lost it. "SHUT UP. You don't even know a single thing about Jackson!"she yelled.
Remaining calm, Cass said, "Look Abigail, I am truly sorry about what happened in middle school, and I didn't mean any of it, plus it was an accident! We all know that. Emily was there too! And besides that, you know that if it wasn't for what you started at the first place, none of it would have happened."
Abigail was still silent but her face was ashes. Cass continued, letting out everything,"After everything passed, you walked to my house and told me that everything was fine and we could remain friends. But you never treat me as one since then. Part of me understand that it's okay if you don't treat me as a friend after what happened but that wasn't it. YOU KEEP PLOTTING ME INTO TROUBLE, for years till NOW! Do you think that I will step back from all these? And Abigail, I really don't know you anymore....we were best friends, what happened to us?"
After what seemed like forever, Abigail spoke icily, "Don't ever say that we were best friends, Cass. Do you even know how my life is wrecked after that incident? If you, Emily even, weren't friends with Addison, NONE OF IT WILL HAVE HAPPEN. Stop making excuses. And now, it seemed that you are trying to wrecked my life even more, leaving more scars. Why do you have to be friends with every boyfriend I have? Why do you guys have to be close?"
Cass was shocked, but managed to reply, "Abigail, you life isn't wrecked. If Addison really loved you, he would have worked it out and never left you. Plus Abigail, you're still just 16, it's still real early to decide who you want to be with as there are so many chances!"
Abigail said, "Yes there are many chances for me, but you always just had to interfere with them!"
At that, Cass asked, "Abby, you really like Jackson?". She actually called her by her childhood name they used, what seemed like a long time ago. Cass expected her to snap at her but she just said, softly," Yes. I don't know how to say this, but it was really unexpected that after Addison, I still feel love."
At that, Cass actually felt pure sympathy for her, because Jackson doesn't actually like her. But could she tell Abigail that? Cass figured out that Abigail is a bitch, but bitches have pure feelings too. And just the way she answered her softly, it just showed that Abigail isn't a total bitch.
So she just said, "Okay..."
Abigail looked right into Cass's eyes then, "Cass, it's unfair of me to ask you to stay away from Jackson, but, can you not be too close with him?"
Despite all her electrified feelings for Jackson, she said, "Sure".
And Abigail actually gave her a hug.
