chapter 8

Lilly's POV
I wake up the next morning with a raging headache. I look over and see Dom sleeping soundly on the other side. I get up and do something I never would've thought I would do. I kiss his forehead and head to the washroom to start my day.

Dom's POV
I woke up to Lilly's warm lips pressed to my forehead. I was only pretending to be asleep, but I definitely felt that kiss. And my god, it was amazing. I lie awake while Lilly was taking a shower, trying to decide what to do. I wish she could return the feelings that I have for her back. I get up and run downstairs. I've never actually been in her house, so it's kind of weird that I ended up going to her house like this. I search through her medicine cabinet and find some Advil. I also grab a glass and fill it with water. I find a random stack of post it notes and quickly scribble a little note for her and take this all upstairs. Fortunately, she still wasn't out of the shower and I just set all of that stuff down next to her bed and grabbed my phone and put my shoes on and ran out her door. I call and Uber and turn on my phone. I see at least 5 missed calls from Ryan and a bunch of texts from Swoozie, Matt, Bach, and Alex. I send them all a quick reply saying that I got home ok. I send a quick voicemail to Ryan as well, and by then the Uber had arrived. I sat inside the car and looked out the window as the car drove further and further away from her house. I wish I could've stayed longer.

Lilly's POV
I come out the shower expecting to see Dom still lying in bed, but he was nowhere to be found. Until my eyes land on something pink on the table next to my bed. I walk over to the table and pick up the sticky note. For your headache:) it read. I smile to myself and pop the Advil into my mouth and drink the entire glass of water, and that's a major improvement because I don't like water. I throw on my Stranger Things merch (hoodie and sweatpants.) (Also if you haven't watched that show, what are you doing? Stop what you're doing right now and start watching it. Lmao.)
I run a brush through my long mess of hair and walk downstairs to make myself breakfast. To my surprise, breakfast was ready. I swear, Dom is really starting to spoil me, even though we're not dating. A smile plays on my lips as I sit down. I search for my phone and call him.
"Hello?" His deep voice asks from the other line.
I bite my lip.
"Hey. I just wanted to thank you for everything."
"It was really no problem, ba-, I mean Lilly."
I hold in my giggle. He almost called me babe.
"Why'd you leave? We could've had breakfast together."
"It thought it would be awkward."
"No, not at all. Why don't you come over?"
"But I just left."
"I guess I'll just have to eat all of this breakfast by myself."
I hear him tell the driver to turn back around and smile.
"See you soon."
"K."
I run upstairs and do my makeup real quick, and change into something more presentable. I decide on my blue cameo button up shirt and wear a black shirt underneath. And I pair off the rest of the outfit with my black jeans. I look in the mirror and smile. Perfect.

Hiiii! New chapter is finally out. I know I said "soon" but I was busy and I had shit to do, so I'm real sorry. I really like Misako's sweater bc it's the most put together. Brogan's is nice too, and so is Kwalé's. I'm sorry but we all know Misako won. Anyways, you know what you could get me for Christmas? Watch Stranger Things. Ty.
