Chapter 19

What was Dara doing here?!

Joseph looked up and gave a devilish look towards Dara and Ji Hoo grabbed him by his collar.

“Don’t. You. DARE!” Ji Hoo yelled as he threw him across the street. Ji Hoo quickly ran over to see Dara. Minzy was unconscious.

“Run. Run with Minzy. This isn’t a normal fight. I’ll come back and explain to you, Chaerin, and everyone else, but for now, just ru-” Ji Hoo began but he stopped mid-sentence. Blood dribbled from his mouth.

“Oh. Oops. Did I interrupt you two?” Joseph said while pulling out the knife from Ji Hoo’s back.

“Dara, I’m fine. Run.” Ji Hoo said weakly. Dara quickly nodded trying to carry Minzy along with her. Ji Hoo’s vision began to blur.

“What the-?” Ji Hoo said crashing into the wall beside him. Joseph let out a sinister laugh.

“Are you feeling it yet? Is death coming yet, prototype?” Joseph said. Ji Hoo glared at the blur in front of him. He looked towards Dara limping away with Minzy.

“Poison...huh.” Ji hoo said. He stood straight up.

“Doesn’t hurt a bit. Don’t get cocky.” Ji Hoo said. He felt Joseph become nervous. Joseph began to run towards Dara but Ji Hoo grabbed him by his skull.

CRACK.

Joseph’s head hit the ground. Ji Hoo felt nothing. Despite his strength, he was slowly becoming unconscious.

“D-Damn… I’m supposed to be- stronger- than- you…” Joseph whispered on the ground.

“Like hell.” Ji Hoo said as he leaned against the wall and slid down. Dara escaped with Minzy. Ji Hoo’s vision faded to black. He suddenly arrived in a white room. Was he dead? He saw a black angel-like wing unfold from nowhere. And it disappeared. Then a white angel-like wing appeared from nowhere and it disappeared.

“JI HOO!” He suddenly heard. Bright lights flashed above him. He looked to his side. His vision faded in and out. A… A girl. Running alongside… doctors? Was he in a hospital? He felt the girl’s hand in his hand. He smiled.

Chaerin.

-Back with Chaerin and Park Bom-

“CL-roo~ I brought some bread and pocky~” Park Bom said as she walked into CL’s room. She looked over onto the bed and Chaerin lie face down crying. Bom sighed as she placed the food down on a table and walked over to Chaerin. She sat beside her petting her head.

“There, there. You’re alright. Don’t worry. It’s okay.” Bom comforted. Chaerin sat up sniffling. She sat there for a moment in silence staring at Bom. She then proceeded to tackle Bom and cry on her.
