We stared at each other for what felt like a billion seconds and I swear there was absolutely nothing that could take my eyes off this man. It was almost as if I was hypnotized by those big brown eyes along with his whole style and demeanor. I was so overwhelmed from the feeling of something that I couldn't quite put into words that I almost became dizzy and quickly decided that it was time to head back towards my booth. Before I could reach my booth I was stopped by a short goofy looking brother with a jheri curl and a big ass gap. "Damn girl you sholl is looking good tonight,  wait a minute  aren't you that young singer that was married to R. Kelly?" He asked licking his crusty ass lips. "Mind your fuckin business." I said sucking my teeth and rolling my eyes  instantly irritated that my name was being associated with Robert's name, even if we were married previously. "Who the fuck you talking to--" Mr. Jheri curl started before being rudely shoved to the side and spilling his drink all over himself. "Nigga get the fuck on!" Tupac spat out rudely. "My bad 'Pac." He said nervously before practically running away. I threw my head back and laughed at his rudeness. "You didn't have to do that ya know... I can handle myself." I said looking him straight in his eyes. "Not when you got a real thug ass nigga nearby looking out for ya." He replied matter of factly. "Aaliyah right?" He asked extending his hand out. My heart fluttered a bit at the way he said my name as I shook his hand. "Yeah that's me. Tupac Shakur right?" I replied. "The one and only baby!" He said grinning. "Yo you're hella talented, I was mad impressed with your first album. I see you're all grown up now though." He said making me blush slightly. "Thank you so much, I've been working very hard on my new music so you should be hearing that very soon." I said smiling. "Your music is dope though I bought your album 2pacalypse now recently and it is hands down one of my favorite rap albums of the year no bullshit." I added.  "Ahh I appreciate that baby girl, I'm always looking for female RNB singers to sing on some of my tracks too so why don't we exchange numbers? Talk a little business one of these days." He said. "I'm down for sure!" I replied. "So where is your man at?" He asked switching the subject. I laughed at his lame attempt at flirting before saying "I aint got one of those and I aint looking." He looked at me doubtfully. "That's what your mouth say." He said moving some of my hair out of my eyes and making me blush yet again.

We sat and talked and laughed for what seemed like hours about any and everything and I can tell he was enjoying my conversation just as much as I was enjoying his. He explained to me that he was in New York right now filming one of his movies titled "Juice" and he seemed to be very excited about it. I was blown away but the way he spoke about his future, his dreams just his overall ambition and I swear at that moment I saw something deep inside of him that was so incredible I couldn't even begin to put it into words. His drive and ambition was something we both shared for sure and we connected on that level as well as many other levels almost instantly. "Yo 'Pac you trying to kick some freestyles real quick for the camera man?" Biggie said walking up on us with a few other guys.  "Yoo whats good 'Liyah, glad yall could make it!" Biggie added once he realized it was me. "Heeell yeah nigga let's do this shit!" Tupac said excitedly. "Bet, I was thinking we could do it on that stage over there! Get this party popping forreal  ya feel me??" Biggie said dapping Pac up. "Yeah man with all the industry people I invited to  this party right now it'll be a good ass time to get your name out there and let these muthafuckas know what's up!!" Pac said. "No Doubt baby im with it. 'Preciate you too fam for looking out for the kid." Biggie said getting serious for a moment. "Its all love nigga we all gonna eat lets do this shit." Pac said nonchalantly as he rose up to head towards the stage. He stopped for a second and looked back at me. "C'mon baby girl watch how I rock this shit!" He said confidently. I smiled and got up to follow his lead as he led myself, biggie and the entourage toward the stage. "Aaliyah!" Angie said grabbing my arm abruptly to stop me before I could reach the stage. "Whats up girl you ok?" I asked while still gazing towards Tupac as he hopped on stage with the rest of the guys not wanting to miss his freestyle. "Girl I don't feel so good lets dip." She said weakly. I gave her a once over and decided she did look pretty shit faced. Fuck! Not now Angie. I was having a really good time and looking forward to some more conversation with Mr. Tupac! "Do you think water would help?" I asked pathetically. "Girl the sun is almost coming up aren't you ready to go?!" She asked a bit surprised. It really wasn't like me to stay out all night and party I couldn't even believe how fast time had flew. "You have a meet and greet with your fans in the morning along with a plane to catch back to LA." She added. I thought for a second as I watched Tupac and Biggie proceed to get everyone in the party hyped up and ready for them to start freestyling on the beat. I smiled admiringly at his energy and enthusiasm I could tell the stage was exactly where he was meant to be front and center. But as much as I wanted to stay and kick it I had to get my girl Angie out of there before she embarrassed both of us by throwing up all over the place. "C'mon sweetie lets get outta here." I said linking arms with her and walking towards the exit. Angie drunkenly grabbed a bottle of water from one of the platters the waiters was holding up as we proceeded out the EXIT door. I glanced back one more time at Tupac as he hyped Biggie up on the stage making the club go bananas in there and smiled one more time before walking out of the door.
