Hey guys! I'm back! (sorta)
GOsh, it feels surreal that I haven't updated in like, what, a year? Two years? The original Werewolf Cinderella (before I removed it) began in 2014, and now it's almost 2018. Time sure does fly. ;-;
Oh, back to the point.
Oh, wait, I haven't even introduced the point yet. Oops. XD
I HAVE GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS. Bad news first.
Sooo, if any of my old readers are still here with me (yeah, tough luck, vic. It's been four years), you might remember that I promised to complete the rewritten Werewolf Cinderella.
*breathes*
Sadly, I might have to break that promise. I've been delaying this author's note for so long because I didn't want to disappoint you guys, but I can't run away forever. I need to face you guys and give some closure.
Werewolf Cinderella will not be continued any time soon. If I ever get over my writers' block, continuation is possible. However, as of right now, I am just incapable of doing it. I don't feel as connected to this storyline anymore, perhaps because it's been so long, and I cringe when I read the chapters (13-14 y/o me was reaaaaaaaally cringey, even more than now). I mean, two years ago, I already wrote the ending to WC, but the middle parts of the book are nonexistent. I'm sorry. I really hope you guys understand where I'm coming from. The story is just too hard for me.
I also don't want to give more excuses than I've already given, so I'm not gonna go into depth as to why I haven't been active on Wattpad for the past year.
Now for the two good news.
FIRST NEWS: Last year, I planned for a new book. I haven't finalized the title yet, but I have the plot all set, and the first few chapters are completely written. It's werewolf x vampire, and the story is set in a dystopian future where the world just sucks — Wait, lemme just post the summary here.
Centuries into the future, the supernatural world has changed, along with humans'. Gone are the packs and clans — vital in connecting peoples. Instead, widespread individualism has planted a firm belief in everyone's minds. "In order to survive, you must fight."
Breakouts have left the human race at the brink of extinction. Now, the remaining survivors, armed with technologies, join the supernatural in the fight for survival. In this dystopia, you can't trust anyone but yourself, because — a proven theory — the strong weed out the weak.
Ferox, a werewolf abandoned at the age of nine, grew up knowing nothing but violence and Darwinism. No question existed as to why his parents left him behind. The defenseless child was simply a burden. It was done for survival. Everyone knew it as common knowledge. After all, this is the very world in which they lived.
Lux, a vampire, likewise, fell right in line. Kill? Sure. Kill her clan? She did it, without leaving a single one—not even her parents. Then, subsequent guilt leaves her with the need for atonement. She ends her ruthless ways and becomes the only vampire healer alive.
After an life-and-death encounter with Ferox, Lux is about to show him that even in a world where blood defines power, kindness is possible.
I am REALLY excited about this book, but unfortunately, it will not be posted any time soon because I don't want to commit myself to a book and then suddenly realize I don't have the time to update frequently (*cough* Werewolf Cinderella *cough*), which would disappoint you AGAIN. TT-TT (school is stressful and time-consuming) So I'm thinking of posting the book after I complete ALL the chapters or at least when I am close to. This way, I can be certain that the book will be complete and not have to be discontinued.
SECOND NEWS: Today, I was volunteering outside in the freezing cold while talking to my friend who just broke up with her boyfriend. After I went home, I slept, woke up, and suddenly had inspiration, so I wrote a short story that's winter-themed about two writers (they're human; this is not a supernatural story) who fall in love, told in the point of view of the girl character who is starting to slowly lose her memory and vision. It's cute but very, very sad. I'll post it after I edit and make a cover for it, which will be around the end of December or beginning of January, during my winter break. Be sure to keep an eye out! :))
Thanks for the support!! Love you guys!
