Alissa's POV Hi, my name is Alissa Violet, I'm 18 years old, I live in the small town of Brunswick Ohio, and on this day I was shopping for a dress for commencement with my BFF Hannah. The day that changed my life forever.
"Wtf are all these 10 year olds doing?!?!" Complained Hannah, "Is freaking Justin Bieber here or some shit?!" I laugh. "Cmon lets go into H&M we should hurry, it's getting late" I urge 45 minutes later, Hannah and I have our dresses. Here's mine.

As we are walking out of the mall, a pair of 12 year olds asks, no begs us to drive them to a meet up, saying it's for some Vine stars. Hannah jokes "Get in kids" and we drive them down the street. When we arrive they rush out of the car and Hannah and I share a look "Well we're here. Wanna go see who tf it is?" Hannah suggests, knowing I'm already down I grin "You know it" Inside the convention center it's madness. There's a stage and a huge mass of people around it, screaming and chanting On the stage are a blond boy -around 17, by his looks- and a bulkier red-blonde boy who looks around 19 or 20. I've seen them on Vine. Ohmygod it's the Paul brothers. Hannah shrugs and we join the throng of people looking at the two boys memeing onstage. Just then, the blonder one, Jake, looks down and catches my eye. He smiles and looks away again. We dance to the music a DJ is playing for a while, and when I check my phone it reads 9:24pm "Han we should get going" I say, but am drowned out by a voice on the mic saying "Goodnight and thanks for coming out!" And a mass exodus to the doors ensues. Hannah and I stay put so as not to loose each other till the wave has passed. Then we giggle together and head out. But I'm stopped by a tap on my shoulder. I spin around "Umm... hi, I'm Jake" says the Jake Paul. I glance at Hannah. "I saw you and thought you were really cute. Err... could I give you my number?" Shocked, I manage to snatch my phone and unlock it to the Contacts and hand it to him. While he types Hannah and I share a side glance and exchange a silent scream. Finally he hands back my phone. "Text me sometime, K?" I smile "I will" we watch Jake Paul walk back through the dwindling crowd and reach into his back pocket, retrieving a wad of cash. He hands it to the DJ and they shake hands. The man leaves with a huge smile, and a huge paycheck.
Outside Hannah and I scream OHMYGOD THIS DID NOT JUST HAPPEN "Text him!" "Ahhh what should I say" "Be like Hi I'm Alissa the girl you gave your number to" "Now?" "No dumbass next year" Hannah laughed "Ill wait till I get home, I don't want to sound... clingy" "You HAVE to send me screenshots" "Of course!" By this time we had walked and reached our cars. We said our goodbyes and drove home. When I opened my door the house was dark and the TV was on. My parents were snuggling on the sofa. Goalsss. "IM HOMEEE" I playfully chimed, smiling. "Hey Liss, how was shopping?" "Great! I found the perfect dress for tomorrow, then a bunch of kids asked up to take them to a meetup and we dropped them off. Some internet guys." I left out the part about Jake giving me his number. "Aww helping kids is so good of you. I'm so proud" my mom said with a smile. "Thanks! Ima go to bed, big day tomorrow!" I grin and nearly skip to my room. I fling the bag onto a chair and flop onto my bed, unlocking my phone and finding Jakes contact info. Text convo A: Hi, I'm Alissa, the girl you thought was cute 😊 J: omg hi how are u A: pretty good! I have HS commencement tomorrow, that's why I ended up at your meet n greet J: oh sweet! Where do you go A: (name of school) J: oh dope A: hbu? J:oh I dropped out to work on the Internet 😂 A: really?! I could never! I'm so straight laced 😂 J: my parents always told me to follow my dreams, and this is everything I ever wanted A: aww good for u! J: thx. Do u live in Brunswick? A: yep 😁 J: I'm from Cleveland but I'm moving to Cali soon A: omg that's huge! Why J: I'm starting a group of social media influencers A: Cool I've never thought about that! J: Yep I'm actually flying out tomorrow to check out some places since I just turned 18.
