As he beat you down you called it love
As he punched you emotionally you said it was nothing
As he hit you over and over physically you said they were accidents
As he hurt one of your kids you forgave
As you went back every time you only got hurt
You ignored the hate I carried for him
You didn't heed my warnings
In the end you got hurt scarring me in the process
You expected me to be ok and accept him
But I will never forget or forgive him
